So happy to see you guys cotton footage from this year. I like getting the inside scoop on how the cotton picker works. Makes me wish that I could come out there to see it firsthand. Congrats on the 5k, and great video as always.
Great video. I lived on a farm in my younger days and loved the cotton picking machine. Back then there was only the 2 row picking machines. Always loved to see how things worked. Thank you for doing what you do and it seems like you enjoy it a lots.
Five bales to the acre?! WOW!! That’s just about unheard of around here. And I like how y’all plant in a circle with the pivots. I want to come pick cotton with y’all! Tell ya cousin he did a good job on getting different angles of the process. Especially in the bale chamber, that was cool! I’ve never picked with a baler picker, so I really enjoyed that!
Thanks to your cousin for working with the cameras. I never get a chance to see these newer Deere machines in action when I'm driving between Amarillo and DFW. I'm either too early in the season or too late.
So, those pretty blue seeds I liked back in May did not grow up to be cotton candy after all? Dang it! I appreciate Tommy taking the camera with him and providing the extra footage. He's coming after your UA-cam job, Conley! Too bad we only got 15 minutes of it, but he got some great angles of the machine, and we'll take what we can get.
When i hesrd the clicking on the heads i thought it was stopped up. U just backed up.. And started back. We used to have to clean spindles n shit.. Thats pretty handy..
I have 1200 acres of cotton this year. Mostly in 40 acre or less fields. I have a bunch of 5, ,7, 12, 15 acre dry corners outside the pivot circle. Our largest pivot is 7 towers, smallest ones are 2 tower. It is very inefficient farming compared to what you are doing. Watching you makes me realize just how much of a joke my farm is.
I watch Field Rows(they’re Florida peanut & cotton farmers) module building is much more labor intensive & messy. Cotton sticks to everything OR flies everywhere.
Oh yea you can’t go a season without have cotton somehow work it’s way back into your house. Haha it gets everywhere 😂 and we used to have module builders way back in the day too
Nice cotton! Is that upland or Pima. In the Panhandle we mostly grow semi irrigated 2 ba/ac. because our growing season is too short to grow over 3 bale / ac.
Upland cotton. The variety we planted was phytogen. We do seem to have somewhat of a long season, if we have really good water we can get up to 3-4 bale/ac. Further down south we get around 5 bale/ac.
The cotton stripper strips everything off of the plant cotton burs and all, and separates it via a bur extractor. The picker picks just the cotton and leaves the burs on the plant
I'm 63 and never was interested in how cotton was harvested. I found it fascinating to watch, thank you.
Some of the greatest shots I’ve seen by far! Great video! Your cousin did a phenomenal job placing the camera in some cool spots!
Thanks I thought so too

Thanks I appreciate it I just wish I could’ve done more cotton footage

Haha yea I’ll let him know. I really enjoyed watching all the footage I also loved all the different angles
Great video - Always cool seeing machines that we don’t see here in the uk. Some great shots & editing. Well done guys
Tommy is the Steven Spielberg of harvest videos. Really cool

Haha I might have to get him a GoPro so he can get me more videos😂
Amazing picker by JD.
Yes it is

Every now and than it’ll get stopped up if there’s a rock or something but it’s nice when you can just back up a bit
Back in the 80s.. I used to run 616 and 622 internationals. They no comparison to these pickers today..
Hiya Conley, better cinema photography, some really cool camera placements. Music sounded like The Duke was due to ride by...
Stay safe, Steve...

Hey no farm is a joke everyone has to start somewhere
Never knew that cotton was baled. Interesting video, thanks for posting
My best wishes for your channel in india farms are small sizes indians pick up cotten manually this is affordable for farmers thanks
Man that was really good. Especially the inside shots. Very cool. Two rows of shame. Not bad.
That’s what happens when you plant with 16 rows and harvest with 6 😂
@@conleybanman 😂
Nice video. I still can’t believe you guys getting 3-5 bales per acre. Here in Georgia, 2 bales per acre is a very good crop.
Yea we were pretty amazed how good it was this year
Made it to 5,000! Congratulations Conley.
Thanks it’s really exciting
What an Awesome machine!👌🏻Great engineering drom Deere!!
I’m from south Alabama which is basically cottons natural habitat. I don’t think we could ever grow cotton that looks that good 😳
Yes you can. ..... Check USA seed companies...understand, this is irrigated cotton.
Congrats on the 5k!
Thanks man
Thanks to yt I have seen a four row striper with basket and a six row picker that bales cotton.
Very interesting stuff

Great stuff... Proud of y'all
Kool vid of inside the heads and picker running. Either your brave or you have alot better GoPro mounts than Jim does LoL
😅just cross your fingers and hope for the best
I love it, always coool with great working...
Awesome video
That was some great shots. Thanks for sharing. May I ask what's the difference between a cotton stripper and cotton picker?
The cotton stripper strips everything off of the plant cotton burs and all, and separates it via a bur extractor. The picker picks just the cotton and leaves the burs on the plant
@@conleybanman thank you sir
Nice view of the chem trail sky.
Oh yea I didn’t even see that at first. Yea that does look cool
You need to study the subject....
When farming slows down....
President Trump has transitioned the program to be adjusted to present "needs".
What that about?
I just subbed specifically to get you closer to 5k
Thanks you were almost the 5,000th sub
@@conleybanman you hit it👍
🎉🎉
You need a high volume compressor to clean the picker
We have 2 😁
I live in Southwest Georgia they have been some good cotton but I don't know about Five
Yea the past few years we averaged 5 in that area but this year was a little lower than usual
Great video
You can get over some some land with them
Great video? How ahredders or stalk choppers do you run?
We’ve ran a shulte shredder but now we run a box shredder and it chops the stalks up a bit more and we like that a bit better
how do you make enough time to edit videos and answer most if not all questions on your channel?
It’s hard but I try to find time. That’s why you don’t normally see fancy edits in the videos
Question what part of Southwest Texas you farm
Yall finished and I'm just getting started what variety was that
Phytogen
Good job Cuz!
Thanks
Please can I get improved groundnut seed
Awesome
How long does a roll last? and how many rolls do you carry on the picker?
You can fit 5 full rolls and each roll can make 24 round cotton bales
What size is the cotton bales and how much do they weigh?

Muito top eu sou operador de cp690 máquina muito boa
