The guy who picked up Talos at the end was the same guy as saw him, and turned back to the firefight. Except in the first scene it really was him, and when he picked up Talos THAT was Gravik looking for another way to get to the president. First he said "put him in my car," and when Fury said "I've got my own" he had to think on the fly. Fury figured it out and shot him.
Fury and Priscillas scene at the table is one of the best written and acted scenes I’ve ever watched in the MCU. So much was said by just repeating the poem that they had both learned to recite to each other over 20 years prior. There is definitely still love there even if they came together under deceptive circumstances. Great episode
This show does regular flashbacks so Talos can be dead but His memory can live on and be a part of the show. Scilla, G'iah, and Shiley Sagar could lead the way for the prohuman/ antiwar Skrulls in the future.
Hot damn, this episode was straight heat! Rhodes is a Skrull confirmed!!!! Talos gets clapped!!!! The scene with Fury and Priscilla/Varra was damn good. I really like the performances between these great actors. Seeing Gravik in 2 stages of being a full-on Super Skrull was dope! That man is a menace! I do wish that this episode wasn't 30-plus minutes, but I still enjoyed the hell out of it. It's a bit of a bummer that "fans" who complained about the MCU razzle dazzle being so prevalent is now getting "bored" with the seriousness of this show. Those people can kick rocks elsewhere. I don't know how the final 2 episodes are going to deliver, but I'm really looking forward to seeing how things wrap up at the end. Fingers cross that we get more Secret Invasion after this instead of a one-off. Can't wait for the penultimate episode!
Talos' death is akin to when we lost Coulson--a death that motivates others to fight even harder and end up winning despite insurmountable odds. I thought Rhodey's skrull looked like Soren, who we were told had been killed . But what if her "death" was metaphorical and she actually went over to the darkside? We don't know how Soren was killed, and Talos is no longer able to tell us, so I'm thinking it's because she's not physically dead. For now.
I don't think for sure especially if you've read the comics and they have their actual memories if you look back at iron man 2 rhodey he is just as serious about his legal duties but this one does try to blackmail fury I kinda hope they make it so he got taken over after Terrence Howard got replaced because that would be pretty funny and would make for some crazy story in armor wars if Rhodes missed around a decade of events and has to catch up
This man said his wife was his greatest mistake oh damn!!! Super skrull serum bringing folks back to life. It’s the extremis. That poem has a lot of meaning. It was the last one the Author wrote before his death. Rhodes is the only avenger so far that we know is a skrull. In the comics fury hooks up with Val they switch it to him going to see his wife. Pagen was one of the first skrull to invade the avengers in the comics. He could by pass Spider-Man’s spider sense. He mascaraed as elektra in the comics. Talos apologies for bringing his daughter into this war. But she says she does it from her own free will. Fury knows his wife has been instructed to kill him but said he wouldn’t change anything to his life. They mr and mrs smith each other but both miss on purpose as to let the other win. Super skrull are the super soldiers of their species. We have seen this in humans with captain America and hulk. So it’s no different. The first super skrull in the comics copied the powers of the fantastic four. Fury knows that Rhodes is a skrull. But the skrull shows footage of skrull fury shooting hill. They are both black mailing each other
I hope we can see the full extent of the super skrulls at some point hopefully secret wars but I'd love to see a giant wolverine spiderman super skrull or whatever cool live action combo they can come up with since they can copy basically any superheroes powers in the comics just the og f4 super skrull making an appearance would be awesome or maybe even spider woman showing up as the queen
Priscilla is now on the run because she did not kill Fury. I also think that when she asked him if he would love her as her full self, his answer was a no. He knew her for years. She was living a life hiding her true self, and he did not accept her scrull self.
@Omn1Media, 5:25 I think the answer to that question is here, ua-cam.com/video/3vXOJFgsuEc/v-deo.html Fury was smitten back in 1997. 5:45 Is she a princess or queen? Talos named dropped Emperor Drogge in episode 2, and while he might not appear in this series, people from his colony seem to be on Earth. Skrulls fell because of their old ways and Shirley Sakar, the Skrull that opposed Gravik during the council meeting, warned them that they were repeating the things they did that lost them their home. Prior to this moment, Talos' way kept them all safe, living on Earth amongst the humans. Being made to be something you aren't must be taxing, and they've had to do it for 30 years, so I can see why there are those rebelling, but I don't approve of their approach of course, but I do understand how things got to this point. If given the chance to be as they are, the Skrulls would jump at it. Their mantra says as much, "home in my own skin." they don't shape shift and deceive people because they can or because they want to, but because they have to. Anyway, back to the Skrull pretending to be James Rhodes, I don't know if she'll be Queen Veranke like some online have suggested--I don't think Emperor Drogge's from the comics and Gravik isn't the same Super Skrull in the comics, so I think this is the MCU doing it's own thing again. That said, I do think this female Skrull is the one pulling the shots, the one Gravik answers too, and most likely the daughter of the Emperor Talos refused to send the call to. I think she and her team (Gravik, Sharon Carter and the Prime Minister of the UK) are the Power Broker, and the reason why Fury is on Earth. I think this whole story has always been about drawing out the Power Broker. We still have two stories left, so I guess we'll have to wait and see, but the Invasion started during Falcon and the Winter Soldier and things have been ramping up ever since. 5:50 Most likely after he appeared on Falcon and the Winter Soldier, but before this series started. Those participating in the Invasion took people in positions of power--they were playing the long game--they're all a little off from the people we know them to be, well, I'm speaking of Rhodes and Sharon. We were told in the first episode of the importance for Skrulls to remain in their human shells. The longer they stay in their shells the more like the person they're copying they become and the harder they are to distinguish from the real person. I think many of us dismissed Sharon's out of character nature due to her life on the run, but the signs were present even back then. Rhodes is trying to hard to come off as Rhodes, and he slipped up in the cafe when firing Fury. He called Fury "Nick," so Fury knew then that he wasn't who he said he was. 6:21 Fury's FRIENDS don't call him "Nick." If you aren't a friend, well, that's different. But if you're a friend of his, it's a problem.
Iron man 2 rhodes being the moment he was replaced would make armor wars so much more interesting since it would mean rhodes missed around a decade of events and has to cope and solve on the fly but it was probably after endgame (since he doesnt have a device to help him walk i could be wrong on that tho because nanotech also exists and could be what helps him walk therefore its invisible to us) or whatever date he said he found out about skrulls through that secret briefing which could be before iron man 2 it would be cool if they made it so don cheadle rhodes has been a skrull the whole time and apart from graviks confidence in the super skrulls against avengers maybe he has another avenger in his back pocket
