    I took notes on your video. ❤
    Here is some ideas. That help me. First, I bought those wool dryer balls from Walmart. They're hanging next to tbe fabric softer bottles. For a large family, you will want 4 but they come in packages of 2 or 4. You use them instead of fabric softer. They're absolutely amazing! They take away static, they help your laundry to dry a little quicker and they definitely do soften your clothes!!! A lady who suggested them to us had hers for 2 years now and still going strong. They also help pull pet hair away. You can also sprinkle essential oils on them before popping them in.
    Second, I buy those cheap microfiber dusting cloths from the dollar store and I use them on my floor Swiffer instead of buying more dry swiffer mops. They pull more pet hair off the floor than the swiffers do and you can keep reusing them.

      Good tips, thank you for sharing! I need more wool drier balls. I gave up on them for awhile because the tiny humans in my house wouldn't stop taking them to throw around, lol!

    So much to think about here in this video! The house work used to be something I really disliked and the fact that I needed to do it so many times an hour, day, week just made me frustrated. I was one that spent eight hours on a Saturdays cleaning my house every week, then when sweet children came I couldn't do that and it would never be clean all at the same time. I had an ugly realization that I was trying to make the "clean house" so important that it was changing who I wanted to be. My pour first child, having special needs, I couldn't worry about cleaning once we hit toddlerhood. That was a few hard months. But God taught me so much. I valued my family and just had to learn when and where to tidy up things. I know that I would love for things to be clean but I don't want to miss out on the years that I am in now. I know that I will not regret spending time with them and witnessing all of life. You will never hear me say "Oh. Oh I regret not washing the sheets every week or I wish I stopped holding my sick child so I could have put a load of dishes in the dishwasher".

      You are so right, Alesha! I think if my pre kid self saw how dirty my house is now I probably would have walked off a cliff, lol! No, not really, but I certainly NEVER would have believed it. It's been very hard for me to let area's go, but the truth is as you said. I think satan loves to fling anything he can in our faces to distract us from what is most important and it takes a lot to ignore that, especially for get it done type people.
      Off topic, but I just noticed you have been here for TWO years at my channel! Thank you for this!! It sure means a lot to me!

    I love your videos. It always inspires me to keep doing the housework. I have a large long haired German Shepherd who is my world, but my goodness I get frustrated because he loves going in mud all the time. I clean his paws at the door but it feels like I am hoovering non-stop because it's a rented house so I need to be a bit more particular as the landlord only permitted him to be here grudgingly

    I was the same as you, i had hurt my back, and knee, and i thought by sitting down with ice packs on my knee didnt work, i found doing chores and stuff around the house, keeping me mobile took the pain away. So i agree with you, do physical work it takes the pain away and im doing great!

    Thank you so much for making this video it’s like you were reading my mind about the cleaning supplies you use! However i have a question or a couple maybe lol. Awhile back i made your citric acid recipe which i think is awesome, but the smell of the vinegar is so horrible i just can’t take it and I’ve had to dilute it with water ands use less vinegar because i can’t even breathe. The other thing is that i find this solution to be very sticky sometimes if it hasn’t been rinsed off completely so i was wondering if you’ve experienced any thing like this at all and what you do about it? I mean obviously other than just rinsing it off really well lol. Like am i using it incorrectly maybe?

    • @mountainmamashome
      @mountainmamashome  7 місяців тому +1

      Hello Lacey! Yes, it will be sticky if you don't rinse it off, so only use it on things you can rinse! As for the vinegar smell, some people make it with water instead of vinegar. Another option is to take lemon peels or orange peels, soak them in the vinegar for a week, strain them, and then use that with the citric acid. This helps with the smell a lot! Hope this helps!

    baking soda will completely remove the smell of cat spray, God forbid you have a male cat that treats you to that lovely smell. Don't ask how I know. Word to the wise tho, open windows while vacuuming it up & use a GOOD vacuum or you'll be left with a fine powder coating everything. My cellar only gets organized 1 time a year, as the ceilings are so low that I can't stand up in it (old old house with a hand dug cellar). The jars get totally out of ORDER. I have no way to reasonably organize them. I have been working hard on not vocalizing hate towards housework or hating on certain areas of my home.
