@@InTheWoodyard I have a brown weasel living in my wood piles. He is so cool!!! When I was stacking wood he would poke his head in and out of the nooks and crannies to get a look at me. Great mice eaters,
I had a thought the other day when you mentioned again that you wanted to get another load of logs infront of those stacks. The driver put the logs at the wronge spot before so: Mark the sport with marking spray paint, so the driver doesn't miss it! :)
When I split the wood open there are ants inside quite often. When you split the wood and stack it to dry off of the ground they will leave, they need moisture as do all other bugs.
I have a neighboring business that sells industrial piping and it is shipped to them in crates and beams that are 4x4s and other hardwood lumber that they give me.
I know the difference between wants and needs. A tractor is on my want list and almost on my need list. I don't borrow money and I prefer to keep my money in my pocket where it belongs so until I can justify spending 20-30k on a tool it has to pay for itself in production increase within 1 year. Notice I said tool not toy. Most guys buy toys that they justify with making the job easier but don't think about or calculate the REAL cost of borrowing money and the actual out put of the toy-tool. I'm not afraid of work, I like it ! But you are correct my operation is getting close to the need for increased out put.
@@InTheWoodyard haha! Great sound logic! In your case, a tractor isn't going to make you any money so best to hold off. For me, life is too short. I'm going to enjoy what I can while I can. If that means I have to pay more for my Toys, then so be it. It's only money, you can always make more. What you cant do is buy more time.
Gloves are areal problem! I can wear out a pair in a week, and I have tried all kinds. I'm going to do a video about gloves real soon. The best kind as far as long lasting are kinkos- made out of pig skin.
Wow, life before the tractor. I enjoy watching the old videos in the previous woodyard.
Thanks for watching!
Its a masterpiece! I love seeing this. I wish you were my neighbor. I would send my son over to help you stack wood
Wow, thanks!

Glad you enjoyed it!
I like the goat path down to the future mulch pile

Wow you got a lot of firewood ready to burn
Yup, I sell about 600 face cords a year!
That is compost - it can be sold!!! Bob in Nevada
Yup, if I had time to mess with it!
Did anyone else notice a mice run across between 2 stacks of wood at 7:10?
Yes, the place is over-run and infested with them!!!! Well at least it used to be, I asked them to leave!

Thanks, Stewart!
do you have a gate to ur property or chain so people dont steel the wood when your not their
No, I am usually there most every day for about 12-18 hours at a time or I put up a couple of signs and spike strips and spot lights.
Another great video
I appreciate that, thanks Dale!
Another enjoyable video thank you 🇬🇧
Thanks for watching Mr. 1000!

Ya, that's why I like to be there when it's delivered, now I usually put out a pink marker.
I’d say You have enough to keep You busy for a while!!!!
Yes I do Ron! Thanks for watching!
Does all that debris you dump from the wheel barrow break down over time?
Yes, it just turns into mulch and then compost.
@@InTheWoodyard oh perfect. I got a bunch to dump lol.
That thumbnail is beautiful
Ya, that was a good bunch of wood!
Hey do you have a lot of ants 🐜 around your property from the firewood and what is a good way to keep them out of firewood

What is your take on cottonwood? I have a lot of it, but always heard it didn’t burn very good. Do you sell it quickly?
Cottonwood burns great.. but very fast and does not put out a lot of heat per cord. But it does burn nice and is fine for campfire wood.
Cottonwood no good for heat burns up quick and makes alot of ashes! Yes good for camp fire
Looks like you're stacking on 4 x 4 blocks, where do you get your 4x4's?
I have a neighboring business that sells industrial piping and it is shipped to them in crates and beams that are 4x4s and other hardwood lumber that they give me.
@@InTheWoodyard that’s a good neighbor to have!
@@ksw501 Yes it is!
7:08 a mouse again down at the bottom! :D
Yes! they are all over the place in the wood yard!
LOL! Seen it!
I’ve been wondering where you put all the chuff. Now I know
If you want some , come and get it!
Hahaha. I be right there ! Coming from Anoka County, MN
Woodie n cookie 👍🏽. U r a wood animal!
I like wood!
Mornin Chris
How D!
How many cords of wood to you cut, split and stack a year?
All of them! Each year it grows, last year 440 face cords or 146 full cords. This year 620+ face cords or 207+ full cords so far.
Did ya see the rodent at 7:09 going left to right? Quick little thing. Bob in Nevada
Yup, there is a lot of them, time to get the shotgun out!!!

How often do you go through a pair of gloves?
Gloves are areal problem! I can wear out a pair in a week, and I have tried all kinds. I'm going to do a video about gloves real soon. The best kind as far as long lasting are kinkos- made out of pig skin.
I gave them up years ago eventually your hands become gloves unless you have another form of income that requires subtle hands 👍
I would have composting pile close by instead of throwing it away in the woods
Come and get it, I produce a semi load every year!
i like it 115 degres to cut firewood
You can have it, I prefer about 40 degrees.
It’s an island of saw dust and splinter
Yes, lots of saw dust!
Anyone else see the mouse?
Yep. lol
yep..it had clogs on
I seen it too..
