Great video Leah and Jel. From my experience with my relationship with my Filipina everything you have said in this video is very accurate in my experience. The three things that I was told by my asawas mother that stood out to her was how well I carried myself in the community their in my interaction with everyone she got complements from her friends as the Kono being respectful, laid back in my temper and never once complaining. She also told me how much she and her husband were proud in how I showed the loving affection for their daughter in public in a conservative manner. For example like you said holding hands and Showing in my facial expressions as we interacted together. One example in one situation I didn’t notice it at first till her cousin and mom pointed it out when we got out the trike I helped her in and out and her cousin said “Sana All you have a good Asawa.” At the time I looked puzzled and smiled and natural just said thank you for the compliment. It was until the next day having coffee with my Asawa and her parents that they explained it to me. For me I was raised that way in a very conservative manner by my parents and I know that’s one of the reasons why my ability to assimilate into this culture I feel easier than most. Here in the Philippines 🇵🇭 the Filipinas still put first the content of the person’s character and you love old fashion chivalry and men being men. The last thing to add is out of all my asawas family member I am the Second foreigner to be dating one of the ladies in the whole entire family and the biggest compliment I get from her family is that I am very laid back and desirable to be around in how I am enjoying the simple province life. Friendly tip for Filipinas looking for a good guy for a long-term relationship, don't get tattoos. I know tattoos don't typically indicate bad character, but they're not good for a 1st impression. If I were looking for a meaningful relationship, I would skip over the ones with a tattoo. I have been married to a Filipina for 12 years and it was the best move I ever made

Yes; that is mostly correct, but it isn't "all" asians. There are approx 3% of asians that have the gene for sweat odor. During WW2 Japanese submarine crews were selected based on their smell when they perspired. Conversely not ALL westerners have the gene that causes odor. Finally; it doesn't matter who you are, if you don't bathe for 3 days you are going to stink - sweaty or not.
I always rub durian on my armpits & carry a dried fish in my pocket before going out on a "hot date." I get a lot of attention from all the girls who are laughing, covering their mouths while pointing their noses at me. 😂

I admit my comment was hard hitting, but it was very honest… To all guys watching this video… Just REMEMBER… It is you that is the prize. Your financial abilities far surpass 97.8% of any Filipino’s financial abilities. If she wants a better life, better place to live without living under a roof with grandma, mom and pop, several other brothers and sisters, their spouses and numerous screaming children, way better cuisine, nice clothing and overall, a much better life, then she will learn to love your smell, your way of dressing, your differences in culture, etc… Lay down your rules early so there is no misunderstanding. And tell her if tampo is something she does, she needs to leave immediately and then go find another. There are so, so, so many available in the Philippines…
Some foreigners not use to the heat there so they sweat more there than where they're from. If he is showering a couple times a day what else can he do other than a cologne to cover it up. The longer he there he can adapt to the heat but it won't be right away.

When it comes to what a person smells like...there are a few things to keep in mind. Number 1. What smells good to one person...may not smell good to another. Number 2. If a person works in , or is around things that have objectionable scents, then they should wash off that bad smell, before they get around other people. Number 3. It is good to remember that when a person washes the bad smells off, they may also be washing off good smells, that someone might like. So give your body at least 1 hour, after cleaning up, so that your body will start to smell like those pheromones , that can attract the opposite sex. Note: Not everyone will like your natural scent. Number 4. Do not overdo the cologne of perfume. More times then not those things don't really help. Go very sparingly with artificial scents, if you use them at all.

When I met the young, lovely Filipina who was to eventually become Mrs. Rick, I was wearing cargo shorts. She had never seen hairy American legs before, as it was not really part of her culture. She was fascinated. We married five months later. My advice if you want a Filipina to fall in love with you is to wear cargo shorts often and everywhere, especially if you have hairy legs. You never know who you will meet while doing so. Mrs. Rick is still fascinated and I still wear my cargo shorts even after 50 years together with her. BTW, Mrs. Rick's mother did not like me. At all. She held a grudge against me for 48 years, until she passed away. It certainly was not what anyone would call a "good relationship."

That is true about smell . My Filipina girlfriend said I passed her “sniff test” after the first time I visited her in the Philippines.
Make sure to have a hot water heater installed in the shower. Few foreigners will like taking a 'cold' shower. That might be part of it.

Your financial abilities far surpass 97.8% of any Filipino’s financial abilities. If she wants a better life, better place to live without living under a roof with grandma, mom and pop, several other brothers and sisters, their spouses and numerous screaming children, way better cuisine, nice clothing and overall, a much better life, then she will learn to love your smell, your way of dressing, your differences in culture, etc… Lay down your rules early so there is no misunderstanding. And tell her if tampo is something she does, she needs to leave immediately and then go find another. There are so, so, so many available in the Philippines…
Some foreigners not use to the heat there so they sweat more there than where they're from. If he is showering a couple times a day what else can he do other than a cologne to cover it up. The longer he there he can adapt to the heat but it won't be right away.

When it comes to what a person smells like...there are a few things to keep in mind. Number 1. What smells good to one person...may not smell good to another. Number 2. If a person works in , or is around things that have objectionable scents, then they should wash off that bad smell, before they get around other people. Number 3. It is good to remember that when a person washes the bad smells off, they may also be washing off good smells, that someone might like. So give your body at least 1 hour, after cleaning up, so that your body will start to smell like those pheromones , that can attract the opposite sex. Note: Not everyone will like your natural scent. Number 4. Do not overdo the cologne of perfume. More times then not those things don't really help. Go very sparingly with artificial scents, if you use them at all.

I had some dates with filipinas and i must say that many of them had a bad breath. Not like horrible but it made me go away from them. From 10 dates maybe 6 or 7 had a bad breath to a certain degree. Had anyone else the same experience?

That’s tough because most caucasians are hairy & sweaty, smelly, i am a PhilAm and i hardly smell unless i won’t shower for 3 days, my sweat glands are almost non-existent.
When I met the young, lovely Filipina who was to eventually become Mrs. Rick, I was wearing cargo shorts. She had never seen hairy American legs before, as it was not really part of her culture. She was fascinated. We married five months later. My advice if you want a Filipina to fall in love with you is to wear cargo shorts often and everywhere, especially if you have hairy legs. You never know who you will meet while doing so. Mrs. Rick is still fascinated and I still wear my cargo shorts even after 50 years together with her.
BTW, Mrs. Rick's mother did not like me. At all. She held a grudge against me for 48 years, until she passed away. It certainly was not what anyone would call a "good relationship."
