I've been a fan of Cooler Master's high end cases since the fist gen Cosmos, and I just upgraded to the Haf 700 Evo earlier this month because it fits all of my requirements, specifically the support for 2 back fans, bottom fans, and side fans, and yeah, I have to admit that I am stupid and I bought it mostly just for the look, the screen, and the RGB. This is for me a almost perfect case, but I have to agree with you on the problems with the useless aRGB controller and the software. I installed 22 argb case fans in the haf 700 evo and ended up connecting all of them to the motherboard and just control them with Asus Aura and removed the argb controller that came with the case. Cable management is a pain in the ass for so many rgb fans and accessories which is why I didn't even bother with it and just shut everything behind the internal cover for the cables. PS: It is so damn heavy that whenever i want to move the computer i have to take the top, front and side panel off first.
What the hell is this thing?! I know you're not a thermals scientist like some other tech youtubers but I'd love to know what the thermals are like in this thing. Hopefully worthy of that size. I recently stripped my case of RGB but my god those vertical glass pieces at the front are baller! That's probably the best solution for a an RGB/mesh front panel I've seen.
I would have just bypassed all the CoolerMaster Software and Header and just installed a couple of Corsair Commander Pros and went with all Corsair QL Ring Fans. I did that with a Thermaltake case and put 15 fans inside and ran everything with IQue Software.
Excellent video fams. Definitely sounds like cm HAF to up their software quality. I don't think I'd ever switch away from uni fans because they're so easy to use and cable manage.
Totally agree with what you’re saying about Cooler Masters RBG. I have had a 360 water cooler and fans of theirs for 2 years now and I can never ever get the colours to go exactly how I want. Have spend hours on it! Will not be getting them again for future builds that’s for sure.
Aww man that HAF case is awesome. Great video fams and yes CM need to fix their software, on my sons pc we run a really old version still because it actually works
I'm honestly surprised in a negative way that big brand fan makers still haven't adapted a similar system to Lian Li's Unifan system. I'm horrified at how troublesome the work has to be to populate so many fans, not to mention the CPU cooler fans included. The work should be getting easier, not harder.
I have one of these cases and apart from the fact that in my opinion, Cooler Master cheapened out on included fans, it's a great case. You get two non RGB 200mm fans on the front and a non-holo ring RGB fan on the back. Now for such a premium case that cost nearly £500, I would have thought that Cooler Master would at least include top-tier fans, but sadly, they don't. However, I actually want to see a video about building a PC that's for more than just gaming. For instance, I've got a 25Gbit NIC and a RAID card in this case as well as a 3 slot GPU, so you couldn't vertical mount it. I want to see how you deal with using all the possible PCIex lanes efficiently, especially if you're using a couple of NVMe SSDs too. Let's see a video about that! Obviously, no cheating allowed by using a Threadripper, or Xeon, but using just a consumer grade motherboard. People do MORE than just gaming on their PC, but no one seems to cater to building a PC for than just gaming with a single GPU card.
We cover lots of different types of builds on the channel. We recently did a Multi GPU Sapphire Rapids Xeon build in a case that is designed for those types of use cases.
@@GearSeekers I know the builds that you do, I've been watching your great content. However, what I'm talking about is a build with something like... I've got an Asus Aorus Xtreme, 5950x, 3080Ti, Intel V710 SFP28, 8885 Adaptec RAID, 3xFirecuda 530. Now, how do you balance the PCIEx lanes on that! Now obviously what I've got is a bit extreme, but most people who game, usually use their machine for say, CAD, editing, so might need a high speed network link by fibre, and some fast SSD storage, then you run into PCIEx lane problems and nobody every really explaines this properly. Obviously if you start using WRX80 mobo and Xeon based stuff, you're going to have like 64/128 PCIEx lanes, but for the consumer stuff, it's a problem and you don't game on high-core count Xeons and Threadrippers really.
This case is amazing, glad you got ahold of one! I can care less for RGB, just insane airflow, so the issue with the RGB fans is a non-issue for me. I see your point though and they should fix that asap to be fair.

I did not see that much reviews about this case to be honest! As someone still using the HAF X, the only sad thing (manufacturing-wise) is the glass side panel. The HAF X got (plexi)glass sidepanel, and a 200mm in there aswell. But really more than a bummer they can't get their s....tuff together to get some non-crashing at least half-decent software. It's appalling that buggy software can make good hardware bad - happened before, but with cases? oof
Liking Klaire's hand modelling. also, that case looks like it was made for me, huge and colourful. but i'd have 6 mental breakdowns trying to fix the lights
Quick question, with the GPU in the vertical configuration, do you think there is enough space for a PCI capture card behind it? Specifically the Elgato 4k60 Mk2. Cheers!
Does the front Usb-C port use a single cable in the back or a electronic board? I ask this because I want to convert it to USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 20Gbps port if its just a cable.
