Great video! I have 18 volumes from this series. Jack Davis is still my favorite. And I have to add that the colorful spine designs look great on a shelf. Thanks for sharing your updated collection!
These hardcover gems in black and white are like my personal treasure chest of comic book awesomeness. Every time I flip through them, I get lost in the wild worlds created by legends, it’s like a masterclass in storytelling imo. If anyone isn’t drooling over these, need to check their pulse! This collection is a total time machine for me and history lesson rolled into one. Thanks for sharing, now I’m itching to dive back into them! 😊
I’d like to collect all of them but some of the volumes are really pricey! I heard some have been reprinted. Do you think they will go backwards and reprint the ones really expensive like Taint The Meat, Terror train and accidents and old lace?
@@kblixt hmm… I was going off the Wikipedia page and it has both of those coming out on 2/15/2015… not sure if they both actually came out on that day or not.
@@TonisDrangle He did a lot of work for Fantagraphics. Some of the Alberto Breccia books, the Peanuts paperbacks, Prison Pit, Ed Piskor’s Studio EDition, and more!
These are a masterclass of collective editions 🔥 great video
@@ian_parker_art Thanks! And I agree! The design! The historical essays! The comics! Really beautiful books.
I don’t really have a single fave, but I’ve been really into last five volumes
@@kblixt That’s awesome! Craig, Orlando, Crandall, Kamen, and Davis! Lots of crime and horror in that group of books with some great Scifi by Orlando!

@@stevesantiago8732 Thank you! And yea! These books do look great on the shelf!
George Evans & Reed Crandall are underrated, I love their art
@@kblixt I agree! I find myself thinking that about most any artist from EC that I read through when I open these! Their bullpen was unmatched!
Thanks for another shoutout! EC LIVES!
@@ecfan-addict9477 no problem! Thank you again for preserving the history of EC through your essays!

A Slight Case of Murder is where you left off last time
@@kblixt that’s right! I think that was the 30th volume
I would love a video in the future where you focused on an artist with multiple volumes or something like that. Just thought it may be a good idea
@@kblixt I’ve thought about doing that and also breaking down just genre and things! I definitely want to do more videos on these!

@@Tactical-Jackal definitely! Possibly not until they finish the whole set. But, I’d be shocked if they didn’t.
Keep rocking ! 🔥
Thanks!!
This is the best designed series of books I've ever seen. I would buy a book of blank pages just to have those spines on my shelves
