At the time of Cher's release of this song, I never understood what she was asking. Was it "love after love", or "life after love". Assuming, dismissively, the track being merely a dance track for the disco, I thought, deridingly, as I gave up thinking about it again. Decades later, as I sat at home watching Adam Lambert reduce the legendary Cher to tears with this underplayed bravado performance and the profundity of truly understanding the question presented. Do you? Believe.
So powerful. Brian and Roger knew what they were doing when they asked him to sing with them and, of course, his solo work is wonderful as well. Wow! amazing.
I think you reacted the same way every Glambert (Adam's fan base) has reacted to Adam music, He literally touches your soul. Would love to see you react to Adam singing Nessum Dorma with Queen in Bologna. Another great live performance is Adam singing I Can't Stand the Rain with Beverly Knight.
Adam is so worthy of all of us shedding tears at his amazing vocals and beautiful delivery of songs he sings …. Another powerful performance at the Isle of Wight festival … who wants to live forever … utterly sensational. Such a nice guy too! ❤
I'm shocked and admittedly a bit frightened (lol) that people don't get the point of the video. No one is disputing that Pavarotti is the all time great opera singer. He's just giving props to a pop/rock/Queen lead singer. Adam Lambert has a unique range for a modern day pop singer. There are not too many male artists out there with it.
Loved the original by Cher so upbeat disco dance song. Use to sing the song but when does it he reamagined the song and you actually hear and emotional conect with the lyrics and really get to understand the lyrics plus Adam puts everything he has emotionally and feels the lyrics. Adam never just covers a song he makes it his own.
The thing with Adam is it's hard to find just a few performances to recommend because he is that good! My recommendation is to find him doing a live performance always! My suggestions to start are Closer to You and Feel Something (both live sessions performances) or On the Moon that he performed with just an acoustic guitar player at his home for the James Corden Show.
This pops up in my algorithm at least once a week and I listen to it every time. I remember anxiously awaiting every week for American Idol when he was on there.

Adam met with Musical Directors this performance. They ‘ flipped their wig ‘ Adam insisted 3x Cher song MUST be ballad! They finally said ok ! Rest is History!😂
Adam designed this song when Simon Cowell was going to chop him from American Idol back in 2009. Go watch it! I don't know why I'm the only one who remembers Adam singing this then.
To me this song was all about Cher after Sonny. She was so much younger and their separation was difficult. Up to then her whole career and life was dictated by Sonny. That is what the song was about and Adam's version is so much more meaningful in that context.
As a long time massive fan of Adam Lambert and his extraordinary vocal & performance abilities. I really enjoyed your reaction to this breathtaking performance of Cher’s ‘Believe’. I love the emotional appreciation you showed, and see that you are also a guitarist. So, assuming this following band suggestion is not already on your radar, I wonder if you would like to check out British Band ‘Dire Straits” & Mark Knopfler (pronounced Nopfler). Totally old school, this will take you back to 1978-95 (No iPhones at these concerts, filmed & recorded completely live as performed) Amazing performances by outstanding musicians. MK, now 74, has had a hellluva career, & is the genius prolific songwriter/lyricist/singer/fingerpicking guitarist/record producer who wrote the iconic songs for all 6 DS albums & also for his 9 ‘Solo’ Albums, plus composed 9 movie soundtrack albums, and much much more. His vocals are as unique as his lyrics & always add a deeper layer to his storytelling. He parted company with DS in 1995 to pursue his 26 year equally successful solo career (among many other musical ventures) with another extremely accomplished group of Nashville musicians, including Guy Fletcher who was originally in Dire Straits lineup . Adam did a rough version of this during Hollywood Week on American Idol in 2009, so he had this version in his arsenal for 15 years now. Like you, I had problems keeping tears in when I first heard it, and actually, I was just so taken on an emotional ride that I could not watch the whole song in full. I was afraid that I would break down in pieces, and I still feel like this years later.
I loved your genuine/sincere reaction to this performance. My response to listening to Adam on this version often brings me to tears, no matter how many times I listen to it. Stumbled across your channel - happy to subscribe!! All the very best to you.
Podle mě se otázkou "do you believe in life after love?" chce dotknout ostatních lidí, které někdy v životě opustil někdo, do koho byli velmi zamilováni. Spousta lidí prožívá rozchody hodně těžce a neumí si často představit život dále, zvláště pokud byli hodně zamilováni.
Please react to - Dimash Kudaibergen - singing OGNI PIETRA ( every stone) from the Arnau Concert on his own channel. This guy has an 6 octave range and he is trained since the age of 5 years old. Never heard a voice like this. I'm pretty sure you will love it. All the best from Germany 🇩🇪 Petra
You want to see Adam really reach out of his vocal range as not do bad at all look at him singing with Jennifer Hudson on her show, it was in her range but he pulled it off, CRAZY
Hi! I just subscribed, because I love your honest, heartfelt reaction. I would like to suggest you react to the A Cappella groups Home Free, and Voiceplay. They're fantastic! For Home Free I suggest starting out with "Man Of Constant Sorrow" and for Voiceplay....hmmmm....Maybe "Hellfire" from Disney's The Hunchback of Notre Dame, or Voiceplay's cover of "Nothing Else Matters." Not that you can go wrong with any of the songs by either group. They have huge fanbases, so I can pretty much guarantee your subscriber count will jump, which is always a bonus, but if nothing else, your jaw will drop at some amazing music! Oh, and just an FYI, each group has different lineups, depending on the time period, so if you're watching them and see different faces, it could be a guest or just a time when the members were different. And I've written a set of rules for listening to Voiceplay, as I vibe most with them, let me know and I can post them if you want.
Hey, thank you for your comment and for the sub and mainly for the recommendations, I haven't heard of any of the groups you're mentioning so it will be great to learn something new. I'll add them to my list! I'm not sure what you mean by the set of rules, but yeah please share.
@@FaanaMusic Okay! I'll start with Voiceplay, and do Home Free when you do one of their videos. The rules really apply to both, but Voiceplay is favorite (though it's very close) because they are considered the "Theater Kids" of the UA-cam A Cappella Trinity-Voiceplay, and I am a total ham. The other two groups are Pentatonix (I don't really vibe with them, but they are extraordinarily talented), and Home Free. The best thing about Voiceplay and Home Free is they don't copyright their videos, so they can be freely watched. So, in Voiceplay, there are four core members. -Eli Jacobson (pronounced El-ee, NOT, E-lie), he is the one with the bald head and the Jafar beard. -Geoff Castellucci their scarily skillful bass. He has a solo channel, full of low bass covers that will make your jaw drop. -Layne Stein is their beatboxer who sometimes sings, he has an amazing voice, and has another skill I'll leave as a surprise. Geoff and Layne do the lion's share of the arrangements. -Cesar De La Rosa, the newest member, black hair (looks kind of like dreadlocks, not really sure how to describe it), beard, adorable facial expressions and dark intense eyes. J. None is a member on a sabbatical of sorts, he's off singing with the Naval Choir, but frequently returns to do videos with them. Otherwise, they have different guests they sing with to fill the fifth slot. Okay now! Here are some unofficial (but important!) rules for listening to Geoff/Voiceplay! I just came up with them on my own, but after years of being a Voiceplaya, I've found they're necessary for optimal Voiceplay (and to a degree, Home Free as well) listening. The rules: #1) VERY important! ALWAYS watch to the very end of the video, or at least a ways into the patrons scrolling. Often times it may LOOK like the video has ended, but there's an outro. Also, watching to the end lets you see their awesome cover art. #2) Always leave the closed captions on. Geoff's wife Kathy (she helps with all their videos, such an amazing woman!) has hearing loss, so sometimes there will be little hidden gems in the CC. #3) If you pause a video to speak, rewind it ten seconds before you start it again, to make sure you don't miss anything. #4) Don't look away from the screen, or close your eyes for more than a second, because, again, you might miss a visual gag or clever moment. #5) Don't go into their videos with expectations on what the song will be like, i.e., that it will be the same as the original. These guys put their own spin on things. The only thing to expect, generally, is to be blown away by their sheer talent. #6) Unless you have a REALLY great speaker system with stereo sound, ALWAYS wear good headphones/earbuds with Voiceplay and Geoff. They do amazing little tricks you can only pick up with those hearing devices. Plus, some of Geoff's notes are so low you practically can't hear them without headphones. And Voiceplay fans are called "Voiceplayas," and Home Free fans are called "Home Fries." I think you're going to have a great time with them. And I've seen subscriber counts go from two digits to four in a matter of weeks, in reactors who start watching these groups. Have fun!
Tell me again how Adam Lambert "lost" American Idol...the winner was Chris somebody? Incidentally, for any fans of Adam Lambert (especially those who bought his first album) I strongly recommend you check out The Hillywood Show's "Pirated of The Caribbean" parody.
@@FaanaMusicEnjoy! Hey, has anyone ever told you you look a little like Tom Cruise? It's the eyes and brow, I think. Oh dang, that probably sounds like a pick-up line. I swear it's not, I'm happily married! LOL!

The rules:
#1) VERY important!
And Voiceplay fans are called "Voiceplayas," and Home Free fans are called "Home Fries."
I think you're going to have a great time with them. And I've seen subscriber counts go from two digits to four in a matter of weeks, in reactors who start watching these groups. Have fun!
@@DravenGal Cool, thanks for this! I'm about to record one reaction to one of your recommended songs.
@@FaanaMusic Cool! Do I get a shout-out? *Grin*
@@DravenGal sure!
Tell me again how Adam Lambert "lost" American Idol...the winner was Chris somebody? Incidentally, for any fans of Adam Lambert (especially those who bought his first album) I strongly recommend you check out The Hillywood Show's "Pirated of The Caribbean" parody.
Perfect thank you. Added to the list!
@@FaanaMusicEnjoy! Hey, has anyone ever told you you look a little like Tom Cruise? It's the eyes and brow, I think. Oh dang, that probably sounds like a pick-up line. I swear it's not, I'm happily married! LOL!
@@DravenGal Haha, I have actually had this before. Concretely 'a love child of Tom Cruise and Mr Beast' haha
@@FaanaMusic I can see that. Now wouldn't it be nice if you had the money of one of them?
@@DravenGal It would be for sure. I can try to apply to be part of one of Mr Beast's videos as his doppleganger. 😀😀
Please delve into Eva Cassidy, "Over the Rainbow," "Autumn Leaves," "Fields of Gold." Mark Knopfler "Cannibals", "Je Suis Desole." George Michael "Somebody to Love," "Fast Love," "I Can't Make You Love Me."
All of these live.
Thank you for the analysis and the emphasis on emotional content and connection.
