This lady reminds me of my ex who was a meth addict. They claim they are sooo helpful to other people but they are victims of the world. It’s them versus society. They don’t take responsibility for anything that’s happened to them. It’s exhausting. She’ll never get out of there and improve her life unless she starts taking accountability for her actions.

My brother is in a homeless shelter in Florida.. we’re from the Chicago area and I’ve helped him a ton but he ended up back in the same situation because of drugs (I have kids and they can’t be around all that) and it took him months and months to get in to a shelter and a program that is helping him SO much! The thing is you HAVE to be sober and clean.. they drug test my brother all the time (he’s been clean for over 6 months now) and it’s been the best possible thing for him.. He has a year there, they gave him a job, they helped him get his GED and are helping him finish school.. and get a new place at the end of the year but you have to stay clean and sober. As long as he does that he’s going to be doing great at the end of this and I’m SO proud of him. There is help. You just have to look for it and do what you need to do in order to get it. Much love & light to you all! ❤🧿

First off, Jeff does the best interviews with the Kensington people. He doesn't come off as arrogant or condescending. He doesn't bring up their painful childhood. He doesn't try to exploit them in order to promote some hidden agenda. He talks to them like a normal person. Secondly, I'm having trouble figuring out why Jelly is living on the street. I'm going to go back and rewatch the video. She still looks pretty good. I'm not sure why she's not taking advantage of that and earning the kind of street money to get into an apartment. Jeff has interviewed girls who look much rougher, yet they still have a place to stay.

I have known a lot of addicts 1/2 of my family and from what I see she does not really want to get clean or help. “Well I asked people how you get in.” Well how about you go during business hours and ask the housing place yourself. She’s got a lot of excuses. And needs to take action on her own. If you really want help you have no open wounds you will get it. Just got to actually TRY. And good for her dad with his “tough love” that’s a boundary he’s setting for himself. I always tell my brother I have no problem helping you I will help you with everything when you get out. But if you don’t go get better for yourself I can’t do anything that’s my boundary. She’s a capable woman she can figure it out.

I want to sympathize with her but all I’m hearing is excuses.
I love how she’s saying she doesn’t use the fent/tranqu to get high - just to get well. Well, no shit. That’s the case with almost all addicts after they have gained a tolerance.
I get wanting to go to rehab out of state or something but she may not have a choice. She needs to surrender to the help that is available.
She also seems to think she’s much better than the other addicts outs there with her. In have news for her - she’s not.
She says her Dad is ‘too much with that tough love shit?’ Im sure that man has spent more nights that we can imagine up sick with wondering if she’s dead or alive. That is torture! Thank God he found it within himself to create some boundaries with her (likely until she gets help).
Stop with the excuses and get help, Jelly! I promise you will not be upset you did. She’s like a ticking time bomb out on those streets.

Then why are you selling your food stamps. Just keep them & use them to eat with.
I hate to say it but you were doing something wrong , you were selling food stamps and you got robbed. Thats what happens there is no honor among thieves.
