Dr. Vijay Kedia formally made his interface with the equity market at a tender age of 19 as a trader. For 11 years approx. he traded in Kolkata erstwhile Calcutta. His cash inflows synced the troughs and crests of stock price random walk movement. His epiphany that strikes him by virtue of steadfast experience led him to be a long term investor. He switched to Mumbai under intense choppy conditions, he invested 35,000 in Punjab tractors which spiralled up to 3 times in 3 years. He discovered and identified stocks through proper financial and technical dissection. Dr. Kedia’s success mantra- knowledge, patience, vision, timing and risk taking capacity has begot more successful stories. He has been described by ET as a “market master”.
He strictly adheres to SMILE as a principle in investing, which translates to small in size, medium in experience , large in aspiration and extra-large in market potential.
His advice- “Buy like a bull, sit like a bear and watch like an eagle”. His story manifests the importance of perseverance, diligence and endeavour. Mr. Kedia is an Indian investor trader based out of Mumbai. He is involved in the market since he was 19. Kedia and his company - Kedia Securities Pvt. Ltd.,are the largest shareholder (after the promoter) in several listed companies. Kedia was a keynote speaker at IIM Ahmedabad & IIM Bangalore. He has also delivered a speech at the Bombay Stock Exchange. He has been described by the Economic Times as a "market master". In 2016 Vijay Kedia was conferred with a Doctorate degree for Excellence in The Field of Management.
