Definitely quick thinking and good training. Now get the police to investigate and repair those hydrants.
Yeah!!!
Agreed. Should be heavy fine and jail time for that. If anyone had died, I'd push for manslaughter charges as well. Heck, if McCoy from L&O had been there, he'd be pushing for Murder 1 or 2 (Depraved indifference) at least.
@@dmadd4643 Yeah, also alot more charges than just vandalism, interfering with an emergency response which is a federal offense! And more! And yeah whoever did that would be held liable for it if someone died inside just because some geniuses thought it was cool and funny to screw around with a hydrant!
I'm so proud of Dawson, she has become a very great firefighter, she don't need anyones supervision anymore, even tho Casey can't help it, you can see them both in their eyes how much they still love each other :)
She can be stubborn but she wants to prove to others she can save others on her own.
To paraphrase a badass Sargent, "Kick off the training wheels Corporal, she's good to go."
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😊
Dawson pretty smart firefighter i have to give her credit to go to the building for water supply from the fire sprinkler system hydrant
Mike lisa Debolt

This stuff should be on Netflix I wonder how we can make a request to have it put on
Garrett Hatfield when you find out how I’ll sign on too
It’s possible, you can request shows and movies on their site
I agree. Or at least put it on USA and CW like they do with Chicago P.D. I think they forgot that without Chicago Fire there would be no Chicago P.D.
@@donnastardieu how?
Atti _atena just google ‘Netflix show suggestion’ it sends you to a page in their help section.
atta girl! Problem solving under pressure.
That's pretty awesome but..... As a retired security guard, where was the security guard? Some security companies train you for that senario. That's how you get your FG1 certification.
Wasn't the building like, Idk. Closed?
So proud of Dawson
Except the only water coming out of that stand pipe is the 50-ish gallons above that valve, and its only pressure is gravity. The FD has to pump into the system from the outside connections.
Bring her back for viewers sake!!!!!!!!!
Would this be considered thinking inside the box?
Ninguém acreditava na capacidade dela.
I like how Herman said Dan girl
Dawson is a beast
Well done Dawson!
As a candidate Gabby got away with a lot
Nice Dawson
As a candidate she got away with a lot favoritism
Nice thought there Dawson! America have your hydrants in the floor like ours!
Keziah Yates
No that’s stupid
I want to be a firefighter when I grow up and I want to be a paramedic
Dawson still could’ve flushed one of those hydrants to see if any water would come out!! But I get it, she wanted to think fast which was a good idea! And there was no point because both caps on those hydrants were missing!
The problem wasn't whether water would come out of the hydrant, because the hose connectors were broken she'd never get water from them in the first place.
@@Timeward76 ohh I see! I didn’t notice that and yea the hydrants in my Pa town are different around here!!!
good work
We don't get fire hydrants vandalised as we keep them underground in the uk
Jamie Hoskin we don’t have this problem as it’s presented (obviously bc tv drama) but to not establish a supply line above everything else is a really horrible plan, that’s one of the first thing the engine company should be doing
Or we just don't sometimes don't have then especially in the country side. 😎👍🇬🇧
@@wildadventure5101 thats when we use the river B)
Girl is greased lightning
What disgrace to humanity would vandalize hydrants?
white sox fans
she is an awesome fire fighter she dose not need any more training !!!!!
No firefighter has 'enough' training! End of story.
Absolutely no such thing as enough training. The day a firefighter thinks they have enough training is the day they need to quit. There are ALWAYS things to learn.
damn girl 👏
if u r a good of a fire fighter as her than u have had enough training
Kalia Avalos no such thing an "enough" training in the fire service. There are always things to learn. They day you think you have enough, is the day you need to quit.
you rock

Shouldn't The CFD Call in the Water Tender Trucks
22313451 SWAT Jr No they wouldn’t of gotten to the scene on time.
There is not a tanker in the City of Chicago, and without a brigade of engines, each with only 1000 gallons of water, you’ll be out of water in a couple minutes. Couple seconds with the aforementioned deck gun idea. Even so, with a tanker shuttle (which would be an asinine idea within chicago city limits) the only ones who would be familiar with tanker ops, would be the tanker crews. Urban departments are far more familiar with hydrants with infinite water. Quick calculation determined that drafting from the chicago river, a mere 500 feet from the warehouse (directly behind the silver skyscraper) would be a brilliant idea.
Dam*
That actually wouldn’t work in real life. Gotta love Hollywood, though. It’s solely for entertainment
1. O
should've gone defensive with the deck gun, called a second alarm and had second due engine find a water supply. Amateurs...
I don't think CFD has deck guns on many engines.
On top of that they were still doing search and rescue but needed a hose I guess.
Steven Patti Deck guns are generally around 2000 GPM. Most engines carry 500-1000 Gal.
Deck gun with what water? On limited water, a well used hoseline could provide more tactical advance or rescue, than the copious amounts of water from a deck gun. We had a large vehicle self storage warehouse on fire, literally drained the entire municipal water system for two boroughs and half a township, before hitting a city main trunk line. Three blocks away across a railway line. Plan C was the city boat drafting the river...half a mile away...across aforementioned railway line, and a main railway line. Know your area and think on the fly.
