Great coverage ! One main critique from me though : Learn the names of the Top 10 Athletes please and a bit of their career history to valorize those crazy human perfomances.
@@alanfortunysicart4919 Agree, forgive he is Eritrean…they culturally fight for every morsel! 🤔 on second look all fair game…we love Kilian so a bit biased too, but these two have been outdoing each other for years now…! And it happens in these last 2k’s! The Goat - has bested Petro on that fast technical downhill many a time & today too, if you look back (that’s were Kilian eclipsed him…) with a 700m to go but Petro is faster on the road/flat so he came back and Kilian thought too early he had it in the bag…! (both top 5 so neither here nor there - not podium)! But watch next year - he won’t do this again… full gas🏃🏽 to the end…😀
I strongly recommend watching the finish line of the 80k of La mision Brazil 22 held in 'Serra da Mantiqueira' in the city of 'Passa Quatro'. As soon as anyone post it in youtube I will add the link here. Two national legends(Celinho and Wellington Noronha) melted the last edition time in more than 1 hours, sprinting all out at the finish line after +5,000m elevation gain and 10 hours and 55 minutes in the race.
This Group of ‘new’ ‘African’ born runners - brings so much diversity, (+ the South Americans too) excitement & deep competition! The future of Trail running is golden! - will challenge road popularity…
les dieron una atendida magestuosa o los corredores de siempre, creo que pronto vendrá una nueva hegemonía de corredores keniatas tanto en damas como en varones 👏👏👏👏
This Mark Kangogo guy is impressive 🤩! There’s few ethnically “Africans” with such ‘technical’ leg work & climbing abilities!, speed of course is expected! His smooth legwork is such a joy to watch! He is a like a Kilian but without the explosive raw power! Sponsors should grab this guy! (@Nnormal, Hoka, Adidas?)..Esther was also technical good but can’t keep up with Maude on hills & deep technicals…
Very poor commentator, not knowing the names of the fastest guys on the course, referring at them as the "the Kenyans". They are the leaders guys, no so acceptable I would say.
You sound like you know all details about all the runners, so please send me a DM on IG before Pikes Peak Ascent. I'd love to get you involved in the pre race podcast so you can tell us all about all the top athletes back story leading up to the race. Grazie!
I thought the same, racist in a sense, the europeans have names, surnames, sponsors and history in other races. The kenyans are a collective of 'hard to remember' names and histories 'not easy to remember' with not so known sponsors as well. Technical tip: For this kind of event a good strategy is to get just a picure of the athletes before the race, their number and uniform colors along with their names. Technically is quite feasible considering you're doing such great work on footage and bilingual coverage.
@@pedrobronze5206 We are very tired of the card of racism to absolutely everything... They called for their names many times, i dont know what you heard . And I see and hear a lot of sport every days and all the athletes (europeans, asians...) are identificated for his place of birth (The spanish, the american...). Other tip to keep in mind is that the africans are the novelty in trail running and many times the easiest is called them this way.
@@mellamancano9432Who are "we"? Do you speak in the name of the which whole community? I think it is safe to speak for ourselves when you say so, after all that's not argument, that is a perception from your side. Did you read yourself, to be honest? "The spanish" nationality, "the american" (probably meaning United States athletes as usual), but the "africans", a whole continent, a billion people plus, 53 independent nations are "the africans", which are actually the Kenyans in this situation. I am not trying to tag you just make it clear that if the card of racism is played so to speak, maybe, just maybe it's not with reasons lacking...
Agreed. A very clear bias…. Continuous discussion about Killian, Kilian, Kilian and excuses for why he was behind!!! Need to be better informed and more objective
Great coverage- thanks for all the work, bikers & back-pack cameramen! I understand & have seen these productions in real life at UTCT👍👍! However, please change commentator! - split guy was better! Please show names of top 10 leaderboard after each split- is that so difficult to do? - plug into the race org computer? Hire then Tour de France retired commentary & production team for animation at half the cost!…Lastly use numbers to know your athletes at least know the top 20 ranked by name background history- your don’t need a History masters degree to semi-memorise 40 athletes details! Is that too difficult to ask? If so I take it back…!🙏🔥🙌🏾
I recall this commentator from another race and then too he had done no research on any of the Kenyans. Instead of worrying about them putting cups in the bin, maybe learn their names?
He even caught me on camera, It wasn't me. He saw a mistake I made 'bout a runner, It wasn't me. Heard the words that I told him. It wasn't me. Heard him scream get louder in anger, It wasn't me! And yes, let's all throw our plastic cups in the mountains, what could go wrong?!!
Sucks that the leading ladies need to maneuver around people. Slows them down for sure. Guys don’t have that issue. Obviously I’m talking about the leaders.
Guys had people on the trails as well. They should notify people on the trails that will be a race or at least had a staff to tell them when athletes are approaching in a few minutes so they keep their focus on.
GTS coverage of trail running races is world class, thank you guys!
Merci d'avoir permis de suivre cette superbe course dans son intégralité course que j'ai effectué en 1974 la 2ème édition 👍👏👏👏❤

I love the sprint at the end for 4th place! To have that in your legs after 20 miles and that elevation is amazing.
Kilian clearly overtake him, that was a miserable move.

thank you for the coverage!
Awesome coverage.frustrating to watch non-runners on the trail interfering with the race!!
Kangogo was doped !!
What a crazy finish! I wonder how Kilian would have done if he hadn't run Hardrock 100 a month ago.

are we seeing the start of east african dominance in shorter mountain races?
yes. longer as well, question of time.

Buddy, you have more respect for marginal cleanliness of participants in a race than you do the identity of your fellow human beings. Noted.

dramatic finish!

Rwmber that Killian is Catalan, not Spanish and he hate Spain. Because Spain is like Islamic state, and Catalans won the independence referendum.
