Mizuno alpha is the only modern soccer boot on the market that does not squeeze my toes somewhere , zero glide is crazy , in europe it is very hard to try them because dealers go hard with big brands but this model is a gem!
Yeah, that really bugged me. AG plate on the Alpha 1 MIJ was the same price as the FG plate, and yet the AG plate has literally less material and tech on it, so for the AG plate you were paying the same to get less. Thankfully, the FG plate is an HG plate in all but name, so it does fine on decent 3G and definitely 4G AG pitches. I wouldn't wear it on 2G.
It has a great internal heel counter. Its not as techy but its a great soleplate and boot. I hope i can get a alpha 1 mij fg now on the cheap and modify the studs to be more conical and see how they work on worn ag pitches
I have both Alphas including the 2 (released earlier in Hong Kong), I would still recommend going down 0.5 a size *unless* you are between sizes and prefer a roomier fit. I think the fit is still very very similar and while I’m a uk 8.5 in everything else I am still a UK 8 in the Alpha II, like I was in the Alpha I.
How does the forefoot volume feel, I have the alpha 1 and it's great but has quite a bit of volume in the toe box, Jay Mike said it's even roomier, is that true?
@ I thought that was a weird comment by Jaymike. It’s quite obviously more shallow and less roomy. Even by looking at it you can see this. Maybe in the sense of width it could feel more accommodating, but the weird height at the end of the toebox on the Alpha 1s has been dialled it and lessened, resulting in less negative space.
I heard that it is updated to the 6 layered upper, and the thickness of Karvo was changed from 1.2 mm to 0.9 mm. The latter point was one of the major disadvantages in the previous generation as people sometime reported injuries (based on internet search and I do not have actual data with me). So some people preferred to have Elite version of the first generation. They addressed this issue.
The last/fit was the biggest issue. They never fit true to size and were awkward. There was always extra space in the toe area and going .5 size down was too small
@ going down half a size was perfect for me. It all depended on foot shape. Will have to try these in store first if Noah’s comments about them being more TTS are true
ATTENTION: Amazing boots, the zero glide interior, lacing system, exterior carvo plate and upper are premium! BUT it does run 1/2 size big (No different than the others) and will be uncomfortable due to where the boot bends. GET it tight, get it right! Had to exchange mine.
That colourway is crazy. I had 2 issues with the first Alpha. My foot is exactly 24.5cm long. That's a size 5.5 for the Alpha. Trouble is my toe ends up rubbing the front. Tried sizing up but feels like a chasm in the front. Tight fit is all gone and feels way too loose. Second issue is they don't have my size in AG. I had to get the FG and I've injured myself twice with the triangular studs. It's too sharp for AG. Hopefully both are fixed with this new one.
Exciting stuff! But I really have to say, I personally consider the upper graphics a small downgrade. The lateral running bird on the Alpha I looked way sleeker and more dynamic than this new version - but not as bad as the change from Vapor 11 to Vapor 12 back in the day, so I won't complain too much.
Yeah, i wish he would’ve gone more in depth about the sizing, but he said he went TTS with these and that he had gone a half size down with the αlpha 1. At 7:31 he said the αlpha 2 “is a little bit more true to size.”
Hate the 'oil slick' colorway every time it shows up on a pair of boots. Great boot, though. Furons are still my go-to in the 'speed boot' category, but the Alpha 1 is my second pick.
The Alpha 1 was too wide at the shoe entrance, I didnt had any stability. Maybe my ankle is just too thin. not quite sure if I'd try the new version. at least this colourway is absolutely not my type. Looks like a pride flag...
They look super cool can't wait for a different colorway
I think you have the first review of the new model. At least on my feed. Good stuff. Thanks!

Alpha was the best boot i ever used, defo II gen will be my top1 choice as well, no fancy marketing, but tech and comfort are TOP in Mizuno.
i hope the AG version is similar to this. The alpha 1 AG didn’t have an external heel counter and didn’t have KaRVO either.
@@All_About_the_Benjamins I know, it dint look as cool

@@CognizantCheddarthe ag version is significantly cheaper than the fg
@SantiAgo-r4m No. MSRP is the same (AG MIJ vs FG MIJ). You might have seen AG Elites and thought they were AG MIJ.

How about 9us? Is it 8uk or 8.5uk?
@ think 9us in 8.5uk. In Mizuno I think it’s half a size difference between US and UK sizing
@@PanglimaBiruIf you want a tight fit go half size down at 7.5uk, if you want to go TTS 8uk which in Mizunos equals 27cm.

Look forward to some standard/normal mizuno colorways. May consider the upgrade at that point

Hoping this is true. I preferred the thinner upper on the MIJ version but could not play 90 mins in them due to how stiff the Karvo made them.

Great review as always, also came earlier than the big names. Well done.
Meanwhile, the Alpha I is still making current tier lists. Ruthless.
Looks good in hand. Always wanted a pair definitely have to buy this one. I didn't like how they looked on feet tho. Nice video!
Great video Noah. Digging that Mizuno Tshirt you are wearing. They new Alphas look amazing
Nooooooooo I just got the last one
Bwahahaha
same...🥲
@ I feel you man
Bro don’t regret, these most likely the same boot and getting the previous gen is a W (as u may get it in discount)
@ ye

Ag version and a different colour way ,then we have probably the best boot in the world

i have placed my order immediately after watching this
The color is crazy 😯
Thx for vid mate I must buy these 😅
Mizuno alpha 2 or vapor 16??
Love your shirt Noah!
Dang my blue alphas arrive today too 😂 all good I’ll wait for a better color way
This outsole looking like f50 2012 outsoles
Should I go half a size a down?
600 AUD is a shocker
Beautiful

Great video! Boots look amazing. So just to confirm. Go down half a size or true to size? Thanks!

I got the elite ones, and for me min. half size down…. they run long.
take ur foot in cm and watch in mizuno sizing guide
Hey Noah what do you know about the new Mizuno DNA??
Hate the 'oil slick' colorway every time it shows up on a pair of boots. Great boot, though. Furons are still my go-to in the 'speed boot' category, but the Alpha 1 is my second pick.
Congrats on your marriage Noah🎉🎉🎉
I hope the silver/gold colorway drops soon.
Half-size down or true to size
You described the upper feeling waxy. Does it feel anything similar to the OG Hypervenom’s NikeSkin upper?
Mizuno’s size follow adidas or nike?
When will they be released
What is the main difference between ASICS menace 5 and mizuno alpha 2 and which should I pick if I have particularly wide feet
What are the brand for these mid-cut socks? thanks
WeFoot grip socks
i love the fit and touch of the alphas but anybody feels the FG version are so aggressive and stiff that hurts your knees and hips sometimes?
How does it fit length ways? I know last model many people recommended to size .5 down.
Colorway is sick. I know you love the JP Alphas
Question is... is this a game boot for you Noah?
Menace 5 or Alpha 2? @noah
Are you wearing regular socks or grip socks while filming this?
Botak aluss🎉
Wow!!
The Alpha 1 was too wide at the shoe entrance, I didnt had any stability. Maybe my ankle is just too thin. not quite sure if I'd try the new version. at least this colourway is absolutely not my type. Looks like a pride flag...
Warnanya norak tapi
ugly color tho
You tweakin
They look improved. Still overpriced compared to the rest of the speed boot market
