T cell development in the thymus
Вставка
- Опубліковано 13 вер 2012
- This short video describes how T cells are made in the thymus. The immune system, and T cells, play an important part to recoginize and clear pathogens from our bodies.
Video by Janice Yau. Brought to you by the Department of Immunology and Biomedical Communications at the University of Toronto.
Animation is the best way to teach
the animations always make these processes seem cute. maybe that is my 4am delirium speaking, but it makes me happy
very pretty graphics!
For those who are studying immunology a few things might need to be pointed out, otherwise misleading
1. in delta:gamma TCR T-cells, they can go directly into the system.
2. in positive selection, the cells that do not pass have few chances to correct themselves (alpha chain only) before apoptosis.
very good video. Sums up a 2 hour lecture in 5 minutes
It’s a humble request to keep on posting such videos, these are amazing ! :) Thank you ! 🙏🏽

Hello! I consider it an amazing video that perfectly illustrate the complicated process of T cell development in the thymus. So may I have the permission to post this high-end animation on Bilibili-a Chinese video platform- for more of us medical students to study immunology?I'm eager to receive your feedback!
Amazing, sooo much clearer than our lecture! Plus "ayepoptosis" :'D
Cool
Woooooow!!!!
cool
This is fantastic! And the T cells look like cute little mochi snacks : D
"dendritic cells promiscuously present self antigens" TOO Cute!!
is there any step through out this process that can be stopped to prevent the production of T cells for only a space of about 72 hours
What is Sp8 ??

Why degenerate t cells after puberty
cn u plz elaborate.
Isn't it kinda weird how you asked them to elaborate, but you couldn't be bothered to write out more than 25% of the words in your sentence?
The audio is a total JOKE!!!
Why degenerate t cells after puberty
T cells don't its the Thymus that gets regressed at and after puberty. This leads to less functionality and hence less production of T cells
