Luke Littler shows in class with a brilliant 132 checkout to finish the leg and hits a 180 in back to back legs. what a comeback from 2-0 down.

Thanks for the shoutout! As soon as they get some shorter points in, I’ll mail them out to you.
To add to your point, I find that shorter points are darts that are more front loaded work better. The longer points should work better on straight barrels.
It would be great if you’re able to test that theory out. Would be interesting to hear your thoughts.
Hi Chris I’m super interested in these points can you contact me more I Feinstein about them please thank you
@@reeceowen1536 thanks for the comment! I can put you in touch with the owner of the store. What’s the best way to contact you?
Noticed at the Bahrain masters that gerwyn price has switched to longer points
He is switching back straight away though, he confirmed after the match they didn't work for him.
After my coaching last year, your advice to me was to go short which at the time was helping me massively, but I then had a 4 month break from darts.... Now I'm using 50mm points and have found my scoring isn't as deadly as it was, more consistent 140s/100s but my doubles are fantastic, especially on the D16s
That's up to the individual. I recommend trying points of all lengths. There's no static answer here.
Basically I can confirm what you're saying. For some reason I really like long points on darts with long front tapers like the Whitlock 3 with around 48mm for instance. On the other hand I had 44mm on my MVG darts that looked a little too long to what he was playing, so I asked Vincent and he said 34mm, which actually seemed to make sense when I tried. It's also the shortest point I can use without poking my ring finger, which is one of the main reasons for me to change points. I've tried up to 66mm with mixed results. It's quite easy to throw them and I can even hit 180s, but the way I played them it's more like an elongation of a rather straight barrel as if it were a long front taper with the barrel missing, so anything over 50-55mm was merely overkill with the effect the points slip through the tiniest gap in a group, making it an ugly criss cross with less precision. The only way I ever did a bull hattrick was with a long front taper and a good 40mm protruding, so that's my sweet spot, I guess. When I'm tuned in, I really need very little space in the treble opposed to a straight barrel that doesn't necessarily benefit as much from the long points.
So doesn’t MVG use a 34mm point then?
@@WarrsSnooker To my best knowledge he at least has on his old darts. I'm not sure yet though if he changed for the new darts he plays currently.
Great video Daniel. I've been using 34mm points for over a year now and I love them, I get on really well with them. I do say to a lot of people, just like stems/flights, they will either work for you or not. Littler makes it look effortless with the long points and I think he plays with 40mm 👍🏼🎯
Tried 42mm points and quickly returned back to 32mm ones.
SWISS storm are my fav shape and grip lovely flush joint and enough grip without damage
Good video 👍
I feel the same way. I have much more trouble getting a nice and consistent throw with long points longer than 32mm out of the barrel..
And even if people are constantly saying that you can group more tightly (very few hobby players can play this tight 😄) with long ones and that you can see more of the triple field.
If you're reasonably good, you can also do it with shorter ones 😉
Exactly!
I was using 40mm EVO points so they’re very quick and easy to change. I switched to 32mm and my scoring was better. Just tried 28mm yesterday and I scored so much better. Could be a fluke but I’ll keep trying them for a week or so to see what happens. I noticed that the 28mm tend to kick up a bit more than the longer points, which I prefer.
I use very short points. They only are 25 mm and 19 mm sticks out of the barrel. I tried many other points, almost every length. But nothing feels and fly’s that good as the short ones. I can switch pretty good to the 19s. I learn that myself instantly, because with those points. There is more chance that the triple 20 is completely blocked. But if it works it works. I think i don’t need to force myself to change when it really feels that bad.
Literally trying out 40mm points this week, I’m used to 32mm. One thing I realised instead of aiming for the barrel, I aimed for the flight.
Can you do a review on Connor scutt throw please
i have used pretty much all the lengths on my Target Bolide 03s 26gr. So 26 30 35 and 40mm also in that order. I have now used the 40mm ones for a months and they work wonders for me in every aspect. Might also be because I throw thick bombs but I cant recommend them enough if you use a heavier or thicker dart! Only thing is dislike is there are no Storm points that come in 40mm. So my K Flexes are getting damaged more but oh well.
I struggle with longer points as my grip literally touches the end of point, so anything longer just doesn’t feel right.
My experience with long points was that it just threw the balance off so much, and I don't like adjusting for that with grip or shaft/flight. I prefer standard length because I am so set on my short stems and Steve Beaton oversized pear-shaped-flights, and I can't stand the darts laying in the board flight down with long points on that same set up. I use Target Duzza Gen 1 barrels, and I have a 4 finger grip, so there wasn't many options available to make the long points work for me.
I have the issue where I cannot stop my elbow from moving inwards as I release the dart. Is this something that fixes itself with better alignment or do I have to force my elbow to stay out because nothing seems to work?
Work with your hand eye-coordination, stand the right and keep the elbow pointing under the center of the board :)
Hi mate, I am interested in booking some coaching sessions. How much does it cost a session ? I am asking on here as I am not on any social media etc.
Hi, I do have a bit of a wait, but this is the link to my onine services, you can contact me though this website as well :) straight-to-the-point-darts.square.site/
@Straightdarts thank you will check it out after work !
I’ve tried all types of longer points on all types of barrels and set ups and I absolutely cannot get on with them. I prefer short points still
Those your new darts? I put longer points in my new darts and not quit as good with them but gettting use to them now....
Great video as usual! What darts would you recommend for a rear gripper? I'm considering Target Bolide 01 or 04, Target Exo 02, Target Gabriel Clemens Gen 1, Target Chris Dobey gen 1, Loxley Sorcerer. If you have any other recommendations I'd be more than happy to see them. Thanks!
Out if those id get the Doby darts, but the Bulls Shark is also worth a look at. :)
@@Straightdarts Cheers mate
@@Gitara6060 have a look at target japan - Armageddon 2.0 really nice rear gripper dart! Let me know your thoughts 👍🏼
@@george2995 Thanks for the recommendation!
I love the longer points shame that now ove had my darts Swiss points converted that there is only 40mm points available I need slightly longer
Is it better for the board to pull darts out straight or spin them a bit when collecting?
I normally give them a little twirl. But I've found with swiss points you can end up loosening them
yep a tad of red Locktite helps.
Spin them :)
@@gonch72spin them the opposite way 😂
I have some Loxley Nasirs but they come with really short points or so it seems to me, and they lie really flat. I must try some slightly longer points In them
Interesting. They look like minimal damage to sisal.
What are those darts you're using there Daniel?
Its an only set I have made years ago, I would have used my rear kickers but they have been swiss converted.
Is there more rear kickers being released?
Them darts look class ,really like the look of the grip.
I use darts to cannon off of each other. Longer points dont work for me either.
I average easy 10 points average less with longer points. I also struggle with doubles.
I think the current point trends are crazy. What's next, barbs? I would be happy if they had made standard smooth 26 mm points regulation to prevent this nonsense.
(points so textured they rip the sisal out of the board WTF)
They need to fabricate more stuff to try and sell to us. Lol
@leelo4717 Good point😉
