We need more non-conventional calculation method to calculate progress or development.
Need to consider multidimensional poverty... rather than few sectors which has shown lowered performance! Nothing political thinking... just economic... that is, GDP was good measure to calculate development, yet we can use other index figures to get more grass root results!.. more authentic results.. like happiness index, etc.

They calculate this on transactions done by people definitely transactions are lowered but I think most of domestic transactions in those days done on credits so there will be v shape recovery but on ground change Nahi Hoga

-23% is a Year over Year (YoY) comparison. So your 100 rupees example is wrong. Let me correct it for you. Example: If India's Economy is Rs 100 and growth is 10% per year, then the quarterly growth is 2.5%.. so comparing 2 quarters from consequetive years if last years quarter was 2.5% and this years same quarter was 1.925%.. the stats show its -23% YoY... (And this is just one bad quarter. Even if all quarters are bad we may still have +ve growth) So why are you showing it as a big deal? this obviously going to happen!! Please get your facts right and then educate people

No offence, but what you're saying that even having this bad quarter we can have overall positive GDP growth at the end of year. Can you provide me how we can achieve it? Bcz, most of economist are saying that the recovery will be V-shaped (i hope u know what it means). What are actual possible scenarios with V-shaped recovery, such that we can have positive year end GDP growth?? 🙄
