I've always used a Boss CE-5 with a Boss CEB-3 (at the same time) to get a very clean, lush and more open sound, but I play with a pick (never fingerstyle). The Boss CH-1 is very useful for bass too!
I just bought a used in good condition Boss CE-5 analog version for my bass. I've been hearing a lot of these digital ones sounding good, so I'm never now. I hope the analog sounds good as well. It's the one with the pink sticker on the back, according to the Renerb pictures that I got. Great post, liked & subscribed. ✌️ ☮️
On my active J bass the CE5 is noticable with both level and depth past 2 o'clock, seem weak but I hadn't differentiated the filters (both maxed). Got to keep toying for variety but max effect has a low ceiling imo, fades to too subtle to fast. Maybe a flanger is better
With that way of playing, it's impossible to appreciate the difference between them...
should have better used a pick
at 3:00 I fall in love-great sound!

kristdelgado I have both. which do you prefer
CEB-3 is ideal but if you want a bigger sound you should add CE-5 before the CEB-3: the high strings sound crispier.
kristdelgado what if i use a ch1 and a ce-3b

One of the top Chorus pedals
Boss CEB-3 for sure!
Very cool. At a first listen I liked the first one best.
All sound the same on my 4000 $ monitors
I've had the CEB-3 and I think it's a piece of shit, way too subtle for my taste. Looking for a CE-5.
