If you're looking at this trailer, maybe you're thinking of going to see it. Do. It's an engrossing, devastating look at a grown up family in crisis and a stunning piece of theatre. I nearly missed it. I'm so glad I didn't.

I chose this monologue for my GCSE piece- recorded it today. It’s such an emotive monologue and I love it so much ❤️.
This entire show is pure gold. I watched it with my GCSE class two years ago. From start to end, it engrossed everyone and we would all groan when the bell rung. The show isn’t about Rosie, she’s just the entryway into the family: each of them offer something either relatable or nuanced. I wish I could watch this show for the first time again, it’s beautiful.
This is getting long but the best quality of the show by far was how it effected our lives. People really took its messages to heart and some of us made significant changes to our lives in the immediate aftermath. It’s more than a coming of age, it’s like a study on what living is. For example, in this monologue, Rosie believes Emmanuel is exciting and therefore is what life feels like; conversely, I don’t think Mark is living at all until later in the show.
Point is, I love this show and you should definitely watch it!

I was going to write about this piece for my drama exam in June (not going to happen anymore lol) but I truly loved this play. We watched it on Digital Theatre + and when I tell you I Cried at the end I really mean it. The ending absolutely wrecked me and that was only a digital recording I can't imagine what it would be like to see this amazing piece of theatre live.

Her emotional journey of traveling and falling in love as well as the heartache she feels later. It sets her up as a character and shows you how she truly feels about her family through physicality.
