I'm very impressed you are so talented in the food preparation area. I didn't grow up around someone that passed those skills down to me, actually cooking is something. I'm not even into at all. I live alone, vegetarian and since I don't enjoy cooking/baking, I just don't do it. You're demonstrations when cooking/baking are very good quality, like some of the cooking shows I've seen; very detailed and instructional. Excellent content coming from a non foodie here!
Your videos have improved a great deal! My deceased wife was from Eastern Kentucky your lifestyle is so much like our was, you have become my favorite channel. God bless you
I absolutely love making homemade noodles. I’ve been making homemade noodles for 5 decades. It’s so easy to do which is why I’m glad you’re doing a tutorial. Because this way others will know just how fun and easy they are to make. It will give folks the courage to try. And then…they’ll be hooked! (:
That was a nice video. I used to have a pasta machine but didn't use it much and gave it to my daughter. I learned how to cut it with a knife from my German Mom and Grandma and I just do it that way. I tie a piece of twine from one end of my laundry/pantry to the other end and hand=g the needles on that.
I make my noodles GF. I use rice and tapioca flour and a tsp of xanthan gum. or nowadays they sell GF flour mixtures. I just roll it out on my counter, fold it and slice it with a knife. I've been GF for 30 years.
I just dug out my pasta maker a week ago. It’s been a long time since I made pasta. Now I guess after seeing your video I will have to do it again. Great video 🇨🇦🌷
Your such a good homemaker , and I like this step by step , how to make pasta video , thanks for sharing , and where did you get your white bowls you served the food in ? They are pretty .
It may seem like a silly question but if you were just rolling it out by hand you wouldn’t need to roll it out several times? Like fold in half and roll again? Or just roll it out once would that be fine? And then you can cut? Not sure if that made sense. Wasn’t sure if the continually rolling is parting of like a kneading process as well…
No, it’s not silly at all! Yeah if you’re doing it by hand rolling it out once works. It’s not part of the kneading process. When using a pasta maker you just have to fold it and roll it multiple times to get the right shape and size.
Ooooh girl, have you ever tried making sourdough pasta? I've always got my eyes open for wooden bowls, clay bowls or baking pans, glass or a good stainless steel. I have everything cast iron that i need. ❤
@@LewisAcresHomestead My husband told me that i wasn't allowed to buy pasta again after i made the sourdough noodles. I laughed in his face. I do plan on making a bunch this weekend for our daughters' 2nd birthday next Friday. I have that same pasta maker too. 😍

I’ve never made homemade pasta but this doesn’t look as difficult as I thought it would be. Thank you for showing us how to make it. 🙏🏻💓
I put it off for so long because I thought it would be so hard. After the first time it is so easy!

Thank you! That it such a great way to hand the noodles without having to always store a drying rack.
I drool every time you are in the kitchen! I have to be gluten free and miss all the delicious foods you are making!
Awe, maybe you could adapt some of the recipes to be gluten free.
