- There's a new small update out for Session on PC. It has a fix to the sound of catches, new gear and new objects and the most exciting one, the experimental feature BOARD BREAKS.

With the dual stick controls, each stick represents one of your feet. You will need to learn how to control them and transfer weight, just like on a real skateboard. The physics have been developed with a focus on realism, smoothness and immersion. Just like in real life for a new skateboarder, the first hours can seem challenging, but once you have mastered the technique, you will feel the unrivalled thrill of pulling off your very first kickflip! Session: Skate Sim also includes full options customisation, so you can enjoy the perfect experience tailored to you. A full tutorial provides all the help you need to get started, and you can choose from four difficulty levels!
THE 1990S AND SKATE CULTURE
Inspired by the golden age of street skating - the 1990s - Session: Skate Sim lets you experience true skateboarding and its culture: no scoring system; just you, your spot and your imagination! There's no need for judges to tell you that your noseslide or varial heelflip are perfect for this spot. And because certain locations are iconic, the developers have added several of them to the game for you to skate in and express your creativity, including Black Hubbas (New York City), Brooklyn banks (New York City), FDR Park (Philadelphia) and many other spots.

Skating and pulling off the best lines in the best spots is one thing, but if no one is there to film it, it didn't really happen… In Session: Skate Sim, you can film with a 1990s filter or fisheye lens, and you can use the video editor to create your clips and share them. You can play with multiple options, including changing the field of view, time of day, filters, and different camera views (tripod, orbit, etc.). Session: Skate Sim also offers the chance to go from skater to filmmaker: pull off your moves then go into film mode to experience the action from the point of view of your camera operator and create the best clip.
CUSTOMIZATION
Show off your style with an extensive customization system for your skater and skateboard. By completing challenges, you earn money to spend in skate shops. You can find nearly 200 items (hoodies, shoes, caps, T-shirts, trousers, etc.) from top brands, such as Fallen, Zero, GrindKing, Thankyou, HIJINX Net, Antilanta, Roger Skate CO, No-Comply, iDabble and others. You can also customise your skateboard with over 250 parts, such as wheels, trucks and many other components from famous brands like, No-Comply, GindKing, Thankyou and many others. In addition to the design aspect, the components (trucks, riser pads, wheels…) impact the way you skate. Find the right ones for your style and shred the most iconic spots!

Im glad session is taking the chair when it comes to skate sims, i thought they skaterxl and session was just gonna be forgotten and never updated.
if crooked grind is a thing, then overcrook is as well IMO. And people have also shown you can do normal nose grinds on round rails (because that's where overcook/crook came from I think, because it was hard to do regular nose grinds on a round rail).

Board break is cool, I could do without the costumes. Maybe one day we'll get some better customization options for our skaters in the future since that area is so bland still. Hopefully next update will be actual gameplay fixes since the caspers and primos are still hella busted.
This, I’d MUCH rather see some new hairstyles/beards/hair and eye colors/tattoos than I would seeing a Panda head and some random ass I don’t even know what the hell it is Liquid Death thingy

@@wolfstey it’s a cool gimmick, but how long will that last? You’ll get a clip or 2 on it, maybe even put together an edit, then after that it’s old.. The options I mentioned would last and are really needed.. Everyone on console looks the same, even on PC most guys look similar
@@rahliE777 I agree completely, I'm a console player and I am so mixed on this game, I love the idea of the simulation and sandbox but they need to stop being so cosmetic, fix primos and the experimental stuff, late flips AND CLIPPING, THE BIGGEST DAMN ISSUE, but it's gonna be good after time, and that's what I'm telling myself but idk how long I can
@@wolfstey don’t get me wrong I love the game, it definitely has its flaws though.. Its a really small studio, I get it, I’d just rather see them use their limited resources toward something that’s actually needed.. I mean if they can put a panda head and some weird ass costume thing, surely they can create a couple new hairstyles and other cosmetics that are gonna last the length of the game
What would be cool if they make it to where when you land a big drop trick the board snaps on the tail & you could keep rolling. That'll be so nice if they add that feature. Overall i'm appreciative for them making this game. Been dreaming of a game like this since 2004 lol.

Board break is cool but still pretty unrealistic. Usually people break their tails and it rarely splits in two like that. Usually held together by the grip tape still. But it’s still a step in the right direction!

Session could maybe fix the damn late flips
Has anyone noticed if the trucks wear down the same as your deck, wheels or grip? I haven’t been able to tell from playing. Thanks!
It's nice we get given a blank board... It's even nicer we don't just get given our old board straight back!
Yes true. I kind of wish their was a way to apply what your next board would be after board breaks. Like for instance if I own 5 of every board in the shop. Having them in my inventory. That you could apply up to 5 future boards in whatever order you select them. Definitely a choice option in settings though.
John Hill actually posted a short I'm pretty sure with Garrett Ginner talking bout nose grind or over crook.....I think they're points are valid

Did they also roll back the grind sounds? I remember people were a little upset about the previous update regarding grind sounds, but now they sound like the original ones.

Can definitely slide them. I think grinds hookup
You can grind and slide them. Grinds are a bit harder cause you gotta avoid the wheels on the stack but it’s possible

@@fggijsk3199 yeah I’m not sure what’s going on with it. I mentioned it to the community manager and he said he was told it was set to release yesterday. He said he was checking the status last night but I guess he never got an answer from the producer… so not sure what’s going on. Hopefully it releases soon.. pretty dumb that they wouldn’t release it the same time as the Steam version

Board break is holding on too long and skating in a huge drop in spot in the settings of testing and skating around the skate spot.

@ 3min when you're doing the stacked decks, is that the recording glitching out or the game?
cant wait for the next animations update, i feel like that will make the game feel complete . also needs some more clothing and hair styles etc but that’ll come
Yep session needs a animations update asap . The charter is way to stiff with he’s movements .

Was this game worth it? I bought Skater XL and absolutely hated it. I’ve heard Session is similar but a lot harder.
