  • This one was a curse word escapade! There were so many things done by the previous shop and I had to fix every one of them. As always we got it up and running and ready to go back to its owner. I hope you enjoyed this one! Don't for get to do the usual!

Once again...the Master at work. Engineers don't usually work on the motors they design. Great video! Mechanical Genius! No coolant...

I know you were cursing the engineers who designed the engine, but think about how hard it is to plan all the routing in the engine bay. They are instructed to fit all the systems underneath the hood. Pain to work on but amazing to think of the thought that went into it

Great video! However, the one and only thing I needed to see(the hard to get bolt on the back!) wish you would have slowed down to show detail! Thx anyways.

Would you happen to have a video on replacing the cat in the 2009 Nissan Murano nearest the firewall while there motor is in the car? It would help me out greatly

So im doing a engine swap in a 2013 murano ive decided to take engine from top i just removed to whole front hasn't took it out yet cause i still have to remove bolts from under. Now from what i seen with this video is i hope i have no problem with that transmission bolt behind the the transfer case have all other ones out & just gotta remove motor mount from behind engine. Dont have lift so i decided to go from top so far all wiring has been removed just enigine mount, last transmission bolt behind transfer cause & exhaust and im ready to pull. Thanks for sharing ill let you know in a few days how it went getting it out from the top lol

Don't be such an idiot!!!! You can remove an engine out the bottom from a murano in less than two hours. I worked for Nissan. I can do it in less than an hour. You are in way over your head.

As a non-mechanic, this looks like a total nightmare

Did the new style oxygen sensor actually work and did you have to take out the transfer case?

Yes and yes. I ended up repinning the harness to the old connectors and it worked just fine.

Justin when you swap an engine that’s mated to an automatic tranny with 100k + miles on it, do you usually recommend to your customers to replace the tranny as well since you are already spending a lot on labor?

    • @MorFabIndustries

I always recommend that. 9 times out of 10 they don't go for it.
