👍🎉Lovely. I too can’t follow pattern directions. So I draft my own, thinking "forever pattern" then I over covid I changed my eating habits (restricted baking carbs: sugar and flour) lost a big bunch of weight and need to do it again.😂
The darts are good for b + cups. I am surprised at the number of poor drafting points in the pattern 😮 book. Though i guess a fitting always comes in handy to really personalize your jacket. Love your fabric...William Morris 👍💗 tyfs 🩷🇨🇦
Hello from Australia. Just found your blog and so happy love it. How many of each 4 inch squares did you make and 21/2 4 inch squares please I’m about to make one. Your help would be so very appreciated . TIA
Hello from Irelands all the way to Australia. Thanks so much Im glad you enjoyed the vlog. Im not 100 sure how many I made, I actually have some left over. Ill could them up. I just kept adding to them until i could fit the pattern pieces in.
Would have liked to make this but you have to download the pattern which is not possible for me. I do wish people who write books etc. would realise that not everyone is able to download or print things off. Very disappointed.
Oh Dorothy thats awful. I think it did come with traceable pattens. If you need them printed email me annmarie@craftystudio.ie I'd be happy to help. :)
Absolutely beautiful jacket AnnMarie 😊
Thank you Mary.
Wow turned out fab - you must be delighted.
Thanks Marian Im so delighted with it. I think it will be my new uniform in the shop!
Love it!!!!!! Looks amazing on you! It would make a very glamorous gardening jacket ❤
Keepping the style going even in the garden!
just about to start sewing mine, first time with multi layers, fingers crossed. Love yours, beautiful fabric
Good luck! Use your walking foot if you have one to piece the jacket together it will help.
Wow! That jacket is amazing! I guess that book was written for sewers with experience.
There are simpler projects in the book. This is towards the end
Love it Ann Marie.
Thanks Margaret.
Your jacket is lovely AnnMarie, I’d like to try one myself, perhaps you’ll have time to draught a pattern for one ‘some day’.
