TIMESTAMPS: 00:00 intro 01:18 the 2025 fashion trends I'm looking for 05:50 thrifting 2025 fashion trends 28:51 thrift store try on 34:49 what I thrifted (thrift haul) 37:52 outro
When buttons are missing…..check the inner seam first. Some manufacturers sew extra buttons on side seams down near the hem. Also…move the top button which is rarely used to the area to the missing button area.
You could also replace all the buttons on the front if one is missing without a spare. It doesn´t take much time and is a great way to make a piece of clothing wearable agian if you want all of your buttons to be the same.
I just wanted to say that it’s been really cool seeing your style evolution! You still do the trend type videos of course but it feels like you are more in tune w what YOU like and are able to show trends but not NEED to partake. Love seeing it. Happy 2025!
I want to thank you for trying to shift the consumer mindset for trends to be secondhand bc it really helps with the overconsumption issue and sustainability. I wanna also mention that I’m very happy with the fact that your hauls have been more selective and you’re being more conscious of your consumption. Love it ‼️
I'm glad you actually got the polka dot dress! It's so cute! I'm in love with the collar! And you weren't far off when you said it's giving 1950s. I would say it has more of a 1930s-1940s vibe, which is one of my favorite eras fashion-wise. But definitely a retro feel, it's so cool! So many styling possibilities, too.
Lmao the guilty buying because either you broke it or it was broken and you felt bad is pretty universal. I recently bought a broken teapot and cup set that was already shattered because “whos gonna love it?“.
List to follow along as ya thrift, it’s cool seeing how much you can find thrifting that’s gone out of trend & back in. love your vids so much 1. polka dots 2. a lot of stripes 3. skinny pants (tighter fit pants) 4. studs 5. grommets 6. suede 7. butter yellow 8. cowhide 9. mocha mousse 10. 60s mode silhouette dresses 11. burgundy/ cherry red 12. shaggy knits/ 3d fringe 13. brown leather skirts 14. plaid trousers 15. bright colours coats (candy coloured)
As a vintage girly (30s up to 70s) usually I don't have anything in my existing wardrobe that would be a current trend. This time I own everything on your list except a candy coloured coat (but bright I do have!) 😂
Corduroy is trending! Wear your leather jacket or a big black sweater over the polka dot dress. Go with the more tailored leather instead of the bomber sort of jacket. You could also throw a sweater vest over the dress. Maybe that could be a future video-to style some of your more difficult-to-style pieces by finding Pinterest ideas. I am 64, but love watching your videos and your motto to wear what you love more than what is trending.
Wdym, the blue coat w what you're wearing is SUCH an outfit! I loved it, even tho it's not even my style it just looked fantastic, the red tights and scrunchie w the muted blue, and how everything is kind of 90s twee, even the big brown buttons ... I get it tho, an outfit can be a slay but just not You.
Some of the coats were so nice. I love baby blue ...with buttons missing in the middle I normally would remove the bottom button and sew it in the middle sometimes dresses or jackets don't need that many buttons
I am so glad you got the polka dot dress! It looks amazing on you! I owned many dresses in that style in the 90s. Just a thought on fixing the missing middle button: take the one that came off of the bottom and put it in the middle and put the broken button at the bottom since it won't be as noticeable there.
I love that you wear themed cardigans because I love wearing themed vests! That black dress with the white collar trim also looks like dresses I wore as a kid and I want an adult version so badly but never find them! Shoulder pads NEED to come back in style because I love them so much. That polka dot dress you ended up getting is so cute
Everytime I watch your videos next time I go out I have to create a completely new outfit that I’ve never put together! You inspire me to be more creative with my closet!
Alexa - The Linda Lindas were on the Jimmy Kimmel show recently and one of the band members was rocking your shiny green cowboy boots! Thought of you immediately!
Oh my gosh I forgot about the button busting out 😂 so funny! And the dress is cute. You can make it casual or dressed out without it feeling overly conservative.
Always fun to see what the trend predictions are, compared to what’s trending in my world. Recently, I’ve found the brand Ralph Lauren to be ultra classic and BEAUTIFUL🤍Where I live the chances of me in person finding Ralph Lauren at an op shop/thrift store is basically none, so I have to opt for depop and Etsy, and I found two gems that I can’t wait to receive. One is a chocolate brown skirt, and the other is a green sweater. But yea, the colour green will always be on trend for me as well. As well as something new that I’m trying to do, which is pair statement pieces, with other slightly statement pieces 😀
I live in SC and it’s been under 40 degrees the past few days and I 1000% CANNOT handle the cold so I totally feel you on that 😂 it’s so hard to get out of bed/off the couch when I’m cozy and buried under blankets in my sweats but I loveeee layering and winter fashion so it’s just such a battle between getting dressed cute and being too cold to get changed lol
Love a sunny(not in the pnw lol) Sunday!!! Trying to do a low spend month so I will not be going to the thrift store til I need to so I’m living vicariously through you rn ❤
I always wonder if you are tempted to take things for Carrie just throughout the year. If you see things that just are typically her. And isn’t that a mystery box idea as well? Just what you found for eachother throughout the year? Love to see you thrifting! Here in the Netherlands thrift shops are way more garbage dumps than shops, so I am so thrilled to see all those beautiful items. ❤
I love these types of videos where you show us examples of trends in a thrift store. I don't care that you don't try on all the pieces or buy them yourself. 😊
This was fun! As always, I love your cheerful open-mindedness! (While you remain true to your style.) Two more things I love are 1) all the plus sizes you found and shared, and 2) you actually put a garment back on a hanger! Almost all UA-cam thrifters-even my favorites-ignore the disarray in the stores. I always take a minute to try and leave the section tidier than I found it.
Butter yellow has been a huge trend here in Australia all summer long! I think in the northern hemisphere you will see it come big in summer cause it’s the perfect summer colour 💛
I'm sitting here thinking, I hate polka dots, those are NOT for me...but when you pulled out one of those skirts I realized that I actually do have dotted pants and I wear them and I love them...uhhh.
Oh my gosh, I just watched Mia Maples most recent video of getting styled based on her closet and she said the EXACT same thing about denim maxi skirts!!
Alexa, you would survive in a cold climate: just layers upon layers, keep moving when you're outside, and go inside every once in a while. Kids have all the best clothes! 😿
Gonna go to my clothing rack and lovingly congratulate all my things that already fit these trends. I also appreciate the vintage vibes (only looks not values ❤). - As a sidenote, wasn't butter yellow already heralded all year in 2024?
I love the plaid skirt and the red tights. I imagine that with an edwardian style top and vest (think mid 1890s sportswear) or a peasant top and christmas corset. You could even get a chemise, belt, and skirt hikes at a Renaissance festival.
Love the quince sweater, when you’re tired of wearing it let me know. It’s the exact color I need for a plaid skirt I made. That was truly an awesome find. I did like the butter yellow sweater had a little more color than basic. I’m in Fl I don’t even own a jacket. Take care your hair looks pretty down.
For plaid, it's not just in trouser form. The print itself is a trend especially for spring 2025. Everything plaid and layered on top of each other For the colourful trend, it's actually maximalism that's on-trend. Emerald green, mint green, and cerulean are the other trending colours. Sheer is back, along with fringe, asymmetrical hems, and just interesting cuts in general For fringe, it's any and all kinds, the big one right now are long fringe. But short are in too
I would love a MOD dress! So many grate jackets and coats! Your sweather is epic. Love the dotted dress I love yellow and the cherry red Wished I found velvet at the thriftstore I love poncho s and sjawls Grate finds Alexa x
I think the cherry coded thing is actually more like cherries and pink gingham and Valentine’s aesthetic mixed all together but I could be wrong. That was how I interpreted the trend
I wished I could have had you get me that mohair cardigan I would have wore that in a heartbeat.. also love that last polka dot dress / top you tried on it was extra cute😊.. as far as the denim maxi skirt goes I just thrifted one a couple weeks ago that I totally love
Your cute, if it is cold enough to snow, then it’s not really that cold. For instance it was the high of 22degrees here today, to cold to snow! Yikes! 💕💕
30:20 This coat looked so cute on you, and in my opinion, it suits you better than the suede one. If you switched the buttons to red, it would even match your outfit in the video
With the dress I would maybe stitch up the bottom button hole and use that button for the middle button so you don’t have to replace all the buttons and to allow more freedom of movement so you don’t end up popping the bottom button again. It shouldn’t be a noticeable change given it’s a mostly black dress.
We have snow and cold for 6 months of the year!🇨🇦 We were -43C yesterday. Warmed up to -27C right now 😂 and have about a foot & a half of snow so far.....

When buttons are missing…..check the inner seam first. Some manufacturers sew extra buttons on side seams down near the hem. Also…move the top button which is rarely used to the area to the missing button area.
I like to put a fun contrast button when I take it to move down
A different button right in the middle of the collumn or where the waist falls sounds weird, but looks really nice irl
Was going to say this!
You could also replace all the buttons on the front if one is missing without a spare. It doesn´t take much time and is a great way to make a piece of clothing wearable agian if you want all of your buttons to be the same.
I just wanted to say thank you for taking the time to blur the other people who walk by / appear in the background

Love this comment. I completely agree ❤
omg 2025 being 5 years away from 2030 IS CRAZY somehow 😭😭 also i LOVE ur new years jacket thats so fun
I'm glad you actually got the polka dot dress! It's so cute! I'm in love with the collar!

That shoulder pad blazer is so absolutely beautiful oml
a 38 min video… u treat us so well
So that DKNY sheer polka dot Elaine Bennis dress I’ve had for twenty years is trending again? Ooooo I hope it fits.
Keep us updated on that 😃
Polks dots are truelly timeless- either on trend or vintage, but never outdated

The polka dots dress is so vintage-y and pretty!
The energetic vibe of your delivery always makes me smile 😁
Your new years cardigan is everything!!! 🎆

I love big buttons on clothing too!!! I have thrifted many pieces and the buttons are what caught my eye first!
The 80s and “romantic fabrics and textures” are on trend. That shoulder pad blazer fits in perfectly.
That green cold shoulder top is giving Oscar the Grouch in the best way.
Wdym, the blue coat w what you're wearing is SUCH an outfit! I loved it, even tho it's not even my style it just looked fantastic, the red tights and scrunchie w the muted blue, and how everything is kind of 90s twee, even the big brown buttons ... Very "Alice in Wonderland"
Some of the coats were so nice. I love baby blue ...with buttons missing in the middle I normally would remove the bottom button and sew it in the middle sometimes dresses or jackets don't need that many buttons
37:04 GIRL THAT IS THE EXACT QUINCE CARDIGAN I HAVE BEEN LUSTING AFTER FOR MONTHS
Love a Sunday morning with Alexa! 😌
I am so glad you got the polka dot dress! It looks amazing on you! I owned many dresses in that style in the 90s. Just a thought on fixing the missing middle button: take the one that came off of the bottom and put it in the middle and put the broken button at the bottom since it won't be as noticeable there.
The blue jacket with missing buttons was ❤❤❤
And I loved it with the res tights!
I love that you wear themed cardigans because I love wearing themed vests! Your New Years cardigan is AMAZING!!
It s epic
The shift to from cow print to cowhide feels analogous to me of the shift from military camo to hunting camo we’re also seeing
I love how Laini just predicted big buttons as a 2025 trend and now you’re already proving her point 🔥❤️
I would be shook if I saw someone dressed that cute in the thrift store. I love the red accents. ♥️
the long polkadot dress with the collar IS SO CUTE!!!!!
i love the polka dot dress! It is very early 90s to me in a Elaine form seinfeld style and i am all for that!
Plaid trousers are my favorite thing to thrift 😍 (usually with much success!)
Happy New Year! 🌟 Thanks for posting 💜
One of mine, too.
“Okay, give me shoulder!” 😂😂 I liked the effect that the blazer had on you. Very Lady GaGa vibes
Alexa - The Linda Lindas were on the Jimmy Kimmel show recently and one of the band members was rocking your shiny green cowboy boots! Thought of you immediately!

Perfect start for 2025!
The term you’re looking for is A-line. Very 60s.
So jealous of how many vintage items you find when thrifting. We have barely any at our thrift stores. Oh and so many leather jackets 😳
I'm glad you got the polka dot dress, it's adorable! Very 90s and can be styled different ways❤
the polka dot dress is SO YOU!!!! can’t believe you found quince at the thrift store i’m so jealous😭❤️
Hi Alexa how are you happy Monday night and happy new year to you and I hope that 2025 brings you a love and happiness
Love a sunny(not in the pnw lol) Sunday!!! Trying to do a low spend month so I will not be going to the thrift store til I need to so I’m living vicariously through you rn ❤
Loving this idea of thrifting scavenger hunts! Obviously not necessarily to purchase but like you’re doing here!
I always wonder if you are tempted to take things for Carrie just throughout the year. If you see things that just are typically her. And isn’t that a mystery box idea as well? Just what you found for eachother throughout the year?

AHHH so excited to watch, you are truly my comfort creator 🥰💝 happy new year angel!
Butter yellow has been a huge trend here in Australia all summer long! I think in the northern hemisphere you will see it come big in summer cause it’s the perfect summer colour 💛
I like your new years themed sweater❤
17:48 OMG absolutely gorgeous vintage!!
So beautiful, isn't it?
U should have gotten the blue coat! Just had to move the buttons..u looked amazing in that colour!
I'm sitting here thinking, I hate polka dots, those are NOT for me...but when you pulled out one of those skirts I realized that I actually do have dotted pants and I wear them and I love them...uhhh.
Those 2 back to back black dresses were stunning ❤
Yayy! I thought you were not going to buy the dress!! It is gorgeous!! The tiny ornaments are on trend as well ❤. This was a very sucessful trip 🎉
More great finds. The all black dress reminds me of HS Band or Choir dresses for concert season, at least in Texas.
That Quince cardigan might just be the cardigan of my dreams. Omg.
Oh my gosh, I just watched Mia Maples most recent video of getting styled based on her closet and she said the EXACT same thing about denim maxi skirts!!
Either one of those velvet skirts could be made your size with a one-seam alteration. Totally worth trying it on with that in mind.
oh. my God!!! This episode will be explosive

That rampage jacket with the red plaid skirt would be such a cute outfit
I LOVE YOUR CHANNEL YOUR MY COMFORT UA-camR!!! 🙈
I also can't deal with mohair but I op for angora knits as alternative. Luv ur content happy 2025 ❤
I love the plaid skirt and the red tights. I imagine that with an edwardian style top and vest (think mid 1890s sportswear) or a peasant top and christmas corset. You could even get a chemise, belt, and skirt hikes at a Renaissance festival.
I have also warmed up to letting brown into my wardrobe, but mocha mousse is not the shade for me
Love the quince sweater, when you’re tired of wearing it let me know. It’s the exact color I need for a plaid skirt I made. That was truly an awesome find. Your sweather is epic.
Love the dotted dress
I love yellow and the cherry red
Wished I found velvet at the thriftstore
I love poncho s and sjawls
Grate finds Alexa x
What an impressive collection, well done ! You look so sweet in your dark grey pullover.
Big polka dots kind of remind me of clowns. I love that mocha color for this year
Happy New Year, Alexa! 👱🏻♀️🌤️
I think the cherry coded thing is actually more like cherries and pink gingham and Valentine’s aesthetic mixed all together but I could be wrong. That was how I interpreted the trend
The first jacketbyou tried on in store was beautiful!!!
Ooo that pale yellow 60s dress has my heart 😍😍
love your content!
I wished I could have had you get me that mohair cardigan I would have wore that in a heartbeat.. also love that last polka dot dress / top you tried on it was extra cute😊.. as far as the denim maxi skirt goes I just thrifted one a couple weeks ago that I totally love
I'm gonna hold your hand when I tell you that the Mennonite who lives on my street wears that same dress every day lol.
Nice finds as always
I thought butter yellow was last year’s trend? I mean I guess that’s good if it’s still a thing
I thought the same thing!! I was just taking what vogue was giving me 😅
The polkadot dress is SO good!
Your cute, if it is cold enough to snow, then it’s not really that cold. For instance it was the high of 22degrees here today, to cold to snow! Yikes! 💕💕
Love the new years sweater!
I really wanted to see the pink coat on. So cute.
30:20 This coat looked so cute on you, and in my opinion, it suits you better than the suede one. If you switched the buttons to red, it would even match your outfit in the video
Ur my thriftspiration 🤩 happy 2025!
