    If you remove the cam and have to reset the timing, do you set the piston to tdc of the compression stroke remove your cam and then reassemble the cam sprocket so it’s also lined up? With the cam lobes pointing down?

    My klx110 was first kick bike Can someone give me some advice I dropped a clip in the carburetor and my kicker was stuck so I opened it took it out it was on top of the piston everything look good nothing broke in there I put it back together and there no compression I can kick it with my hand I tried a lot of time only got it to pop 1 time when I kick it it just doesn’t want to start

      Have you checked your piston rings? Does your bike have a clutch or no clutch??

    Any knowledge of what causes these klx110s to tick?
    My valve clearances are fine, one day it just started ticking...

    • @TheOutDoorDaniel
      @TheOutDoorDaniel  5 років тому +1

      I have no idea honestly, my only guess would be valve clearance, but if it's in spec I'm not sure

    Mine wouldn’t go in either. I had to tap it with a rubber mallet and keep wiggling it.

      That's what I kinda figured, my brother had to do the same, I'll have to try again just got impatient lol

    I am currently trying to install a dcr cam in my z 125 pro and somehow I got the cam side out of time and now I can not figure out how to get the timing mark on the cam sprocket to align with the timing mark on the engine... any HELP would be GREAT! TIA.

    How to know if the cam is 180* the wrong way? Did tdc just don’t understand what way the cam gear goes

    • @TheOutDoorDaniel
      @TheOutDoorDaniel  3 роки тому +1

      I dont really know how to explain it but when you are tdc the valves should both be completely closed if the cam was put in the correct way at tdc

    • @Matthewmm110
      @Matthewmm110 3 роки тому

      @@TheOutDoorDaniel yeah both valves was closed it’s just my cam goes in two different ways I read up that the two lobes should be facing towards the pistons hopefully it works tommrow 🙏 did you have to reset your tensioner after also sorry for so many questions

    • @TheOutDoorDaniel
      @TheOutDoorDaniel  3 роки тому

      @@Matthewmm110 yes you have to reset the tension but the klx110 have auto tensioners on them so that makes it easy.

    Does the marks have to be tits or is there an allowance for being little off?

    • @TheOutDoorDaniel
      @TheOutDoorDaniel  2 місяці тому

      They should be damn near touching. However I have noticed sometimes they are very so slightly off
