Hey, unfortunately not. BMW in this generation only have wireless connection. You can connect wirelessly and then plug wire in for charging if required.

Android only has screen mirroring for compatible bmw. New bmws come with Android auto.
Seen two different types one with a flat end antenna like yours and one with a skinny round antenna on eBay is there any difference. Need it for a g32

It seems a previous owner of my F32 did this upgrade because I have the option for Screen Mirroring and CarPlay in the menu, but when I try to connect my phone to the car, I am asked for a password which is nowhere to be found.
Would you have any idea on how to reset the password please?
You are trying to connect via WiFi. This is the issue.
Click on carplay on the car menu and connect via Bluetooth from your phone.
How comes you didn‘t have to connect the lap top up after you installed the antenna?
Hi, the activation was done before installing the antenna. This video is purely to demonstrate how to install antenna and a demo of it working after installation.
What if you drop a t20 screw down there will it matter?
Sounds like you’ve already done it haha. No it won’t matter. Just make sure everything is stable when putting back together.
Do you also need to code this antenna in order to get Carplay to work?
No. CarPlay activation is separate and antenna is separate. Antenna does not need to be coded

The antenna is only after or before activation. Activation is still required

No, it will not be necessary to disconnect the battery.
didn't you have to put the usb stick ? or not all Bmws need it
For BMW with later firmware, USB doesn’t work. Needs activation via Enet cable.

Dash comes off similarly there's a few videos on UA-cam for supra.

Been tested throughout the whole car. Not sure about range outside of the vehicle

You shouldn’t have rivets even with Harmon kardon. Sounds like somebody else has done this. Send me a picture on email and I’ll have a look for you.
and how do you activate apple car play before you install antennas?

How does VIM work?
VIM is only for vehicles that can watch videos whilst parked. For example most bmw F series with NBT systems have dvd players but they pause when put into gear. This coding will allow video to continue whilst vehicle is driving.
Also with extra coding video via USB will be possible
