I’m back -from like 4 years ago- and this still blows my mind. And with all of the patience of my being, I still can’t play it as beautifully as you -touché, Justin.
Good tutorial but it would have been helpful if you mentioned that the tuning is tuned down a half step. I was playing it in standard tuning and it didn't sound right
For some reason, I always try to learn a song from somebody else's lesson but in the end, I always end up watching Justin's. Thanks a lot man. Great job!
Justin is one of the best online guitar teachers I can think of, he has tones of free lessons that teach all the stuff u mentioned, this video is for learning the song not the techniques.
Thanks Justin - you´re easily the best guitar teacher I´ve come across over the internet - AND you choose really great songs for your lessons! Big thank you from Stockholm, Sweden, please keep them coming (and keep them free - that´s really nice of you)!
Sandercoe you got balls covering the MONSTERS - u r 100 times the player most of us will ever be but humble enough to acknowledge when the monsters are 100 times your level. But I'd say you are 100 times the human being of the monsters, all round! Way to play man - kudos!
Hay Justin.....thanks for all the help.........you really helped a old guitarist flurish .Great teacher and you are a true musician .Gor ribh meile moth agoth murish mac amhlaidh 10/10
my Gosh Justin that is fantastic I,m learning this song I love it thank you for the tips on how to play the chords.I got all the chords memorized that song patience and every rose has its thorn so excllent.
First: J, thx for the free lessons. You took my playing up a notch or two...maybe even a whole octave. Love the free website, did the beg course, The Basics, CAGE and the Techniques I could handle. Second: first time I hear you sing...great voice. When I grow up I want to be just like you. Sad thing is I am 42 and have been playing all wrong. I learned to play with a pick and can actually keep proper rhythm while I play the BBQs. You are "my [new] religion and my law." Thx from Miami
@aeronickgrigor it means that you flat everything. E flat, A flat, D flat.... so if you were tuning with a piano, you'd usually tune your E string to that specific E key on your piano. That E key is white. but if you were tuning half step down. you'd tune to the black key directly behind it. sorry if thats convoluted. you can buy tuners that'l tune half step down.
thank you J this song was too long over due and with your teaching I'm sure it will be not onbly a great sounding song when done but you have a way in which it is really fun to learn as well I look forward to the other parts and I have alreay learn what you have showen in this video once more thanks for making guitar fun and not only that thanks for making me sound good when I play Paul
@JR28951 in first line the picking is this 5 3 4 2 3 4 5 2* 3 2* 3 4 so at 2* u u pull off from 3rd fret second string so * marks where u will pull off // hammer oon//slide have a look at the video justin explains these properly
Hello. nice lesson. for me that I am self-taught novice is an excellent exercise in learning. just a note .. you know, I'm not a guitarist, but I am a singer, if you like, I suggest not to bend too basin, makes better use of the diaphragm otherwise highs do not come out, try using more of the 'sharp lyrical (falsetto). thanks for the lesson
it's a half step higher, and the picking is an acquired skill for this particular song. Trust me you can pick all your life and then this song will just tear down your picking skills. Took me a while to learn it also.
idk if it's a glitch, but it says you have 424K views and you just published this today.. if it's not a glitch, Justin, you have established a nice fan base. Well done

Good tutorial but it would have been helpful if you mentioned that the tuning is tuned down a half step. I was playing it in standard tuning and it didn't sound right
Which strings would would that be
@@sentoo3120 what do you mean which strings? It's tuned down a half step so all of them.
you can still play it in standard, it will just be in different key to the original recording so don't try to play along with the original
"There is no doubt you're in my D now" 03:28 i really loled at that
lololol XD
After I heard that I looked to see if anyone mentioned it in the comments 😂
For some reason, I always try to learn a song from somebody else's lesson but in the end, I always end up watching Justin's. Thanks a lot man. Great job!
