I also suggest watching my previous video where I show what I do with my dog every day on a daily basis. ua-cam.com/video/2bVyNOnaCJ0/v-deo.htmlsi=FmN696UQYRqZiO2D

This channel is gold. Instead of one click "solutions" you provide long term ideas on how to interact with your dog and improve everything else first. I see a lot of negative and even harmful "training" methods on youtube ESPECIALLY from american trainers. you deserve much more attention. Thank you for your content and motivation to put in the work and have great human-dog-relationships

Thank you so much for your comment. I agree about videos U.S. is full of quick fixes using aversive tools and methods unlike other countries and cultures. The goal of my channel is to bring that form of thinking to the North Americas and help dog owners become educated dog lovers. People forget that life is formed and structured based on relationships and without it we would not have our civilization and the relationship that we developed with wolves.

Ive only watched a couple of your short videos but im already rethinking how i approach training my dog. I have a 5 year old male rescue, ive had him for about 6 months, and my biggest concerns are marking and dog reactivity. Thanks to your videos im seeing that these are both related to his anxiety about other dogs and that simply "training" like with sit or stay commands, doesnt really apply here as much. Im also starting to think about training as more about being in relationship rather than following commands. I will continue watching your videos, thank you.

Wow. Than you for this video. I am the proud owner of 3 Rottweilers, they are a family: Mother, father and Son. My female and puppy are calm and mostly get along with all other dogs. However, my adult male, we rescued him from Peru, he grew up in a scenario where he was randomly getting attacked by street dogs. He's extremely friendly with people, no matter their age, but he's reactive toward dogs, not all, most most. He's currently being trained by two trainers with different approaches, one focuses more on obedience, while the other focuses more on aggression and reactivity. They are both great trainers who know their craft very well, however, the latter one trains with an e-collar, and even though I am not completely opposed to it, I do hate every time I havve to use it on a high voltage to correct my dog; I hate seeing him feel pain. I have always wondered, there must be another way to correct him without submitting him to feel pain. If I get him to at least tolerate other dogs without the need to react toward them, he'll be the perfect dog.

You are very welcome. I think you are over-doing or over-training your dog especially working with 2 dog trainers. The issue is that your dog is getting too much information which is overwhelming for your dog and also when working with 2 dog trainers using 2 different methods or ideas, you are overwhelming yourself and your dog as well. When it coms to traumatized dogs who have had a bad experience in life such as yours that has been attacked, I suggest simply helping your dog to change it's point of view regarding other dogs by simply focusing on establishing a healthy relationship with your dog, (without the interferences of the dog trainers) building trust and changing the mood of your dog. For more information refer to the video links provided in the video description.

Thank you. Yes, I have sometimes thought about that, but it's kind of difficult because my wife is dog trainer apprentice with one of those trainers lol. There are times when I just want to go out with him on my own but she'll push the training. I won't lie that my dog has improved his behaviour and manners since we got him one year ago. He used to not get along with our female Rotty, and used to attack her everytime she barked. He used to pull a lot. Now he walks beside me and has a way better heeling. He has grown very attached to me, and I to him, but a lot of times he still reacts to other dogs. I am constantly researching other methods of training and i strongly believe that he can learn to be around any other dog without the use of a shock. @@SaroDogTraining
