- This video shows you how to juggle three balls, by breaking down this
complex task into 5 achievable steps:
1) toss and catch one ball, from waist level up to eye level, with one hand;
2) toss and catch one ball with your other hand;
3) toss one ball from one hand to the other hand, arcing the ball at the height of your eyes; you should throw the ball from the middle of your body;
4) tossing two balls back and forth from both hands to the other (toss-toss catch-catch);
5) tossing and catching three balls continuosly from one hand to the other = juggling

Note: when I say I have practiced "thousands" of hours, that's an exaggeration! My bad. Also, that it could take "dozens" of hours just to toss a ball up and down ... also hyperbole. My apologies! With good practice (consistent, focused, and at the edge of your ability), you could learn to juggle in a short time, just a few hours. Good luck!
A tip I learned to help beginners is to practice with the juggling object over a bed so you don’t have to go very far to chase them down and the juggling balls don’t roll off the bed.
I am already learning juggle and i can juggle with 3balls.but only for short time. i am on maybe 6hours in total and i can do max 8-10 throws.i think my problem is that throw distance is getting shorter until i drop some of the balls.i just can't figure it out.i must do something wrong.can you give me an advice?is it normal to practice so many hours and still have problem to do a maximum of 8throws?
Hi Martin - it does take many hours of practice to build your juggling endurance. I recommend standing 1 foot away from a wall, facing the wall, to make sure the balls don't drift forwards while you juggle. Keeping them close to your body, and consistently tossing them about eye-height, should work. Let me know how it goes!
man the greatest elementary teacher ive ever had. man i miss those days
Great video, shows the mechanics of juggling. It works. thank you for posting
Notes: saying it takes "thousands of hours" to master juggling is a big exaggeration - you can get the hang of it in only a few hours if you practice well (focused, consistent, at the edge of your ability).
Well maybe YOU can! I am still trying to do the 100 up-and-down tosses in a row with no drops!
It took me a year and yours was one of the tutorials I watched to death whilst learning and for inspiration etc, so thank you for making and posting it :-)
Brennan! A great video and the slo-mo part is an enormous aid to getting this perfected, thank you. Slainté!! JC.

Lowering the Playback Speed helped me to notice the timing to release the other ball to avoid collusion ha ha

Thank you very much. This is something I can work with.

You can use any "prop" to learn to juggle ... oranges, balled up socks, even rocks!
