Life Saver....Watched over 20 tutorials on this. This was the one that made most sense and least hassle!

It is always amazing to search for a solution to a problem you are dealing with, and finding it where you didn't expect it to be. Well job

Awesome tutorial! Just as a side note it's "without further ADO" not "to do". It's only used before a presentation, not after.

      Oh thank you :D
I didn't know I was doing it wrong all this time.
Thanks for pointing it out, I'll make sure to use it correctly in the future :)

How about if we need the uv for some other texture on the same object? Like to mask in multiples image for textures. If se move the uv differently then it wouldn’t read correctly correct?

It wouldn't show up well, but you can have multiple UV maps for the same object and just have your other textures use that other UV map

Thanks for the tutorial! Could you apply this method to create engraved text as well?

Yes, you just need to flip the direction on the bump node

Nice video! I have a doubt about to texture in glass.
Is the best option to mix texture with the glass shader? I mean, to use the standard principled BSDF, add some colorful text. Or is better to create a secondary mesh to almost overlap the glass then put the colorful text in there?
(Personally i think the best is the first option, but as I saw some people doing the second option, i got confused. I think the second bring kore problems thanthe 1st one)

It all depends on what you want to achieve, but generally for 99% of things I would choose this method since it's easy, fast and realistic if done right.
You can use overlapping geometry too, it's not wrong, but it's gonna be very hard to work with and the results won't be as good of you don't know what you are doing

      Sad znas, nije teško :D
Isto bi to koristio za one reckice na dnu flaša. Nema potrebe da ih ručno izvlačis kad su tako mali detalji u pitanju
