I often get questions about my studio space so I thought I’d make a video explaining my current setup. In this video, I take you through my studio and run through the equipment I use, offering a bit of insight into how I work. I speak about how I went from working from home to having an external studio, what that transition was like for me and why it was so important for my career. I also share some hacks for how I’ve made improvements to props and equipment so that they work better for me. I hope you can find some helpful tips in the way I’ve set up this space.

I can't wait to see "How I make my prints" video
There is only one secret ... hard work.
Thank you so much for sharing and, please, keep it alive.
Best.
Hard work makes a big difference! Thanks for the comment😊
@@JonoDry amazing 💥💗💘
Almost everything in his studio is a masterpiece.
That's so kind of you to say! Thank you :)
Right!! I was like damn!!! I want my art studio to look EXACTLY like this!!EXACTLY like this!!
"I do pencil drawings" is such an understatement
Maybe for you
His humble persona makes him a greater artist
Then he moves us by his amazing work
he should add the word "Intense" pencil drawings..
@@FrankBott *Insane* pencil drawings
The most artist on the internet that inspires me that humbleness makes a more respected success.
Love and peace ✌🏽
I've never been amazed in arts until I saw his. The detail, hard work, and passion he put through his work. Man, that's already a master piece.💗👏🙆♀️
I Love learning from humble persons like you. You are very humble
This studio tour puts in perspective much more than I expected. Currently I am working from my parent's home, because my rent in the city is not such a great spot to be in the pandemic conditions, and for the past couple of months I feel like my bedroom has slowly become my whole little world where art, research and life became one, and as much as I enjoy being here and developing my skills, I miss having my own space, and not to share it with anyone else. That being said, I tackled this opportunity to start working on larger scale pieces, being highly inspired by your techiniques and tips you have given me unknowingly throughout the two years I have been following your work in awe. Even if I do not reach the level of skill or succes to afford my own space dedicate to drawing I will never cease to do it, no matter the conditions or the limitations, drawing is liberating. Also, I might have missed it but... who is Greg?
Wishing you every success!
This creativity is mind blowing 😍👏🏾.
Jono, you should make a patreon. I’m sure many people would love to support you and your art
Ah that's great to hear because I've actually got this in the pipeline! Hoping to launch soon😊
Yes jono would love to sign up for a membership
@@JonoDry You should also provide a Donate (Paypal) button for those who are unable to commit to a monthly donation. An occasional $5 from thousands of subscribers may be useful.
Shouldn't Patreon donations be for struggling, poor artists rather than guys like this who are *clearly* not struggling by any definition of the word? This guy's videos look like Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous where he is showcasing how he is now a baller, and you want to give him *more* money?
It will always be a dream for an aspiring artist to have his/her own art studio, I aspire to have my own safe haven space for art too ☝🏼
I would not want all of this, I would feel like I'm wasting so much money trying to be all fancy and show off like a narcissistic and shallow, ungrateful person. Meanwhile most artists are living off of Ramen and don't know if they're gonna be homeless soon considering how hard the struggle is. If I had all this, I would be embarrassed by my posh, luxurious, lavish lifestyle while everyone else is starving. What am I, royalty? I definitely wouldn't rub it in people's faces in *this* economy.
I love these little silly shots you edited in the video whenever you talked about one specific part of your studio, for example you sliding through the picture when you talked about your standing desk. It really gives a funny vibe to your videos that i personally really enjoy. Keep up the good work💪
I'm so glad you enjoyed it! Thanks so much for the comment😊 It's really nice to hear how the video was received!
Proof that your space and surroundings should be a work art as well. Brilliant. Thanks for this video
Oh my God i haven't been able to draw for almost a month now but everytime i watch one of your vids it magically makes me artsy again😂
That's great to hear! I'm so glad they're helping😊
I like the humbleness in his voice and ofc his drawings too☺️☺️
Hey John. You're probably not gonna see this. But I'm a small artist from a small town and you inspire me to do so much. I don't know what I'd do without you
Hello from Greece . Besides your talent it amazes me how generous you’re with the information you provide us about your work and thought process! You’re greatly appreciated...and admired! Watching you is a lesson in kindness and brightens our quarantine days !
Please show us how you outline your initial sketch onto your paper 🙏 I REALLY NEED TO LEARN HOW TO DRAW HUGE DRAWINGS LIKE YOU DO😭
Thanks so much for the suggestion! It's great to get feedback on what you'd like to see😊
@@JonoDry Wow! I really do hope you'd decide to make a video of it in the future. 🙏😊
I been sculpting at home since the pandemic started and it's hard to separate life from work! and sometimes the procrastination kicks in :) Great Video Jono!!!
Your work is sooo amazing!!! I HAVE LEARNED SO MUCH FROM YOU 💚
Your art is incredible. It is just so beautiful. Thank you for the Studio tour very interesting indeed.
Thanks for watching, Miriam 😁
my dream studio 😍😍
Thank you once again Jono.
Inspiring studio.
So glad Life is supporting you in creating and sharing your work.
Jono, you are like a great master of pencil drawings for me I love watching your videos and really enjoy your art that sometimes I wonder if I could ever reach your level of greatness
Damn!!! Your art studio is just…. I’m speechless at how freakin gorgeous it is!! This my dream😍😍 Beautiful
Thanks, Sadie! I'm loving it
What a treat this video is, and how animated, happy and confident. You’re a huge inspiration, Jono. Thanks for sharing your thoughts, processes and something of your working life with us ♥️
Putting that gigantic wall easel behind the infinity sheet is inspiring me.
I'm getting tired of using so much wall tape!
This is a super awesome studio!
Your wall easel makes me more determined than ever to build one once I am physically recovered enough to do the work. I have a number of medical problems at the moment including several joint injuries, but they are all getting better so the day is approaching. I am fairly skilled with wood so I really want to build the easel myself so I end up with one that perfectly suits my needs. It needs to be able to hold a drawing board 2m x 1.4m, roughly 6ft 6in by 4 feet.
You are really amazing and professional..I'm from Palestine♥️
Thanks so much for the comment! Means a lot😊
@@JonoDry ♥️
Your studio is very relaxing and invites a creative atmosphere.. 🍃
I hope I can apply it in my tropical climate..
I love all the light. Awesome
Joni,
Liked your Studio Tour.
Real interesting video here.
And have a fantastic day today 🌞
Jono sir u are inspiration♥️
Totally inspired! Thank you for your videos. I would love to see a video on how you decide what size drawing to create, how you present them and hang them. How you store them exactly and transport them for travel. And how you make prints available, do you photograph edit and produce them yourself x
I completely agree about having things on wheels. It make life in a studio much easier.
It really does! I can't tell you how often it makes a difference to be able to wheel things out the way.
You aim for perfection and settle at excellence
I love your art work
Good job 👍👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
This changes everything
Low profille person, awesome artwork. Youre inspiring me to make more artwork like you ❤️
Love your studio......love drawing pencils.....🙂
You are an inspiration. When I first saw your video and artwork, I started drawing again and studying shading by drawing Assassin Creed, The Witcher, Elder Scrolls, and Scorpion's outfits. It took hours and days to complete. There's a lot of detail and shading which helped me with shading. I'm in another media now for income purposes and whenever your video pops up, I wanna get back into drawing with graphite pencil. I screwed-up Elder Scroll's drawing, couldn't save it. Someday, I will redraw him.
Your videos are one of the most artistic and high production on UA-cam. I wish I could make videos like you. Though I haven’t started yet you give me the inspiration I should.
Joni really has a very God given clear vision to draw, what his eye visualize he free hand shades into a clear like photograph likeness. He can have his own art gallery where ppl can buy his marvelous creations . I’m sure he can achieve it
When you did the chair drive by of the desk, I laughed, it was fun.
This is my dream☺️ studio.....fabulous😍....and well maintained...❤✌
Thanks so much for the comment! I'll be honest, it's not always this clean😂
@@JonoDry
😂🤷♀️
It is so great to see you back in the studio! Can't wait for a timelapse video on "Solitude". It looks absolultely beautiful. What did you work on during quarantine? Don't tell me it was that big piece, cause that must have been crammed.
Also, the chair push in front of the desk was hilarious! :)
I'm so happy to be back! The timelapse of 'Solitude' is almost ready so hopefully I'll be able to post soon! I actually took quite a long break during the first few months of quarantine which is why I'm so happy to be back in action again. Haha I'm so glad you enjoyed that😊
You're the best Jono!! Congratulations from Brazil!
I love your art studio 🎙️
This video spoke to me! It reinforced my hopes of attaining my own creative space which would allow me to experiment and make the kind of artwork that I would like to.
Thank you, good luck!
Big fan from India🇮🇳
I love your videos dude extremely well edited 👏 keep going
The tech setup is insane. In terms of wires, extension cords and that kind of thing, velcro strips can be helpful in keeping them out of the way by sticking them to the underside of a desk or something.
Very Impressive it kinda makes me think would i reach those levels of professionalism.
Worth enough video to watch after 12 hrs of hactic schedule of self study a day.
❤️
can u do an sketchbook tour also please
Your work is outstanding. I love that and also studio is very nice.👌👌💐
I thoroughly enjoyed this.
Greetings from Germany! Just discovered this channel and subscribed immediately... I am so much looking forward to watching all your wonderful videos and learning from you. I hope I will stay motivated to draw my own little imperfect pieces after having seen your perfection...😅
Thank you for subscribing and watching, Ruth! :)
Great space, love the natural light!
Great advices, thank you. I wil have a new studio soon, so I'm looking for news ideas 😊
Your amazing in everyway! Your accent is heart warming! Good looking! and your work is fabulous. Love it! 💖
Hi there, the art studio looks super amazing, I will definitely do something similar one day.. have a safe and wonderful day.
I needed, and I mean needed to hear this. I can't stop working at home and I'm starting to grow horns 😈
Love you!
I'm from Bangladesh 🇧🇩 and you're one of my favorite artist!
First view, clicked as it came cause cannot miss Jono's videos love you sir😍😍😍
as soon as I clicked the video.. I smashed like button...
It is so nice
Amazing work.
I have been waiting for this video for a long time.. thank you 🥰
You’re so welcome 😊
Very lekker space, dude. In my studios (and I'm currently moving again), wheels and as many electrical outlets as possible. Also, if you have neon tubes like you, exchange them for 5500K ones - it makes shooting video a lot easier.
Yasssss.... been waiting for this!!!!😍❤️
I've been really waiting for this video... since I subscribed to your channel...😭
And now I'm so excited to see.....
Your duch an inspiration dude... thank you🤗
Worth the wait. Truly inspiring! Lots of helpful ideas for streamlining a studio.
I'm so glad it was helpful!
Thou shalt not covet another man’s studio.

Glad you like them!
Was waiting for this video for soooooo longggg
You motivate me soooo much i❤️❤️❤️
Your work is amazing!!!!! Extreme talent👍
When did you consider yourself as an artist?
I used to draw as a child but stopped when I was about 10...during the pandemic I picked up some paper and pencils and started drawing. Coming back to it as an adult was really surprising and I was amazed at myself for the quality of work I produced. So I have nurtured this new found talent over the last year or so and discovered your videos along the way which inspired me to continue. I started toying with the idea of renting a small space to push my creative boundaries and to have a studio to take my own reference images in and attempt bigger pictures. I just got the keys 2 days ago to a perfect little place and its so exciting...yet so daunting at the same time! I convinced myself to go for it and I know its the right thing to do... but still have that lack of confidence in myself that makes me question it regardless of any support from friends and family etc. I cant wait to enjoy the space, as I felt so distracted at home with interruptions and restricted in what I could try. This video and the information you give, is great for helping with the setup and the things to consider for making a practical studio. Many thanks as always Jono👍
All the best with your new studio venture! and big congratulations! 🙌
@@JonoDry Thank you so much 👍...when would you say you "felt" like an artist and lost that imposter feeling?
Cool studio, my next project is to have a table that enables me to stand. Your videos are great thanks!
I like it your Studio bro🤜
Been requesting for this, thanks a lot.

Have you ever considered doing a video on how to draw smoke or ink fluid forms?
Hey jono .
I am big fan of yours 😍
I also do realism art and you are my inspiration . I just love your artworks and videos.
I love you and look up to you. With the way your works are perfectionist,I wonder if you get time to do commission works because obviously people would wanna get that from you. How do you make time for that and also make time for making your originals
LOVE your art, dedication and generosity when sharing your process. I am one of those fans who click like automatically before the video starts. :-))
I love this man...hez my great inspiration
So glad you're enjoying the videos! Thanks for the support😊
