Been binging on your channel. Great content and very well articulated. How do you feel about dirted tanks? I’ve set up about 9 tanks all dirt and sand. I do find my birth ratio is higher and survival rate is really good. As you said planted is key for the fry to hide. I do like a heavily planted tank. Thanks for the uploads. 👍🏼
Thank you for the video. Quick question. Can the worms introduce bad bacteria or parasites into a betta fish if you feed them these cultured worms? THanks
as long as you make sure there are no leeches in your culture when you start, you will be fine. most cultures will contain leeches so make sure of that!
I found recently that my local aquarium supply shop actually keeps bags of live black worms and brine shrimp in bags for sale, I’m not sure where you live, but search some local shops!
we have had guppies spawn in that tank before... at this point we found out it was the parents, and we just need to put the mother into a breeder box, then separate the fry before they're eaten
Thanks for the video really appreciate your help. This will definitely save me money and my fish will surely appreciate.
I enjoyed the video, a new sub. I am looking forward to future uploads. 😀
Awesome! Thank you!

Which temperature is requred for the black worm setup?
We keep ours at 72F
@@Fishforyou2023would they breed at 62 fahrenheit ?
@@kimpliniussen2591 not sure, try putting a small heater with them. theyre typically set to 78. thatd be fine for them.
Cooler water is better for breeding.
Can worms be kept alive without an oxygen pump?
no, the worms create a lot of waste, a filter or airstone is needed.
Do you ever vacuum clean the gravel?
no, if i do its because the water got stirred up and then did a water change. it gets sucked out a little bit every time you harvest
@@Fishforyou2023 thanks

I’m thinking those rasboras are why you aren’t seeing guppy fry.

How many blackworms did you start with?
@@censusgary about a half ounce. theoretically you could start with 1 if you cut it into multiple
Where did you get the culture?
Got them at a local auction. Spent months culturing and making pest free. It will be available on our website soon
