Raycevick, I feel like you are forgetting about outbreak, That showed how much potential the game had, on so many levels. As well as outbreak should have stayed in the game, no cap. As well as we need T-hunt to be reworked, in A way that could actually provide competitive players with a decent warm up, such as the ability to turn off bombers and such
IIRC, Outbreak is still "in the game"; it's part of the reason the relatively small game is ~70 GB. I could be wrong though and it may have been removed but I know it was still there for a while
I think t hunt’s weakest points are that: -Bartlett is still in the pool (with the gas that bots can see through) -It’s more or less impossible on hard or expert while solo, and you will be solo because -finding a server not on Bartlett takes longer than diamond ranked -that being said, even expert is too easy when there’s five shit tier sub-bronze players -bombers sometimes take 3-4 headshots to kill -some maps are literally impossible to defend on while solo

THANK YOU!!! Even the smallest change to custom games would make the community so happy including myself because custom games are just too limited to change the game significantly, often you have to rely on the trust that your teammates and your opponents will honor the custom rules of the game. Even if the players intend to honor the rules, something may happen accidentally, like someone gets scared and flicks onto the head of an enemy.
I think its a twofold thing. Developers want those esportsbux and so no fun allowed, everything is fixed and player created content might cut into sales of map packs and so on. But on the flipside there are so many niche games out there that you can explain something like spooky tower to someone and have them just go "oh so you want Dead by Daylight, or Friday the 13th, or Blackout Club" and so on. I honestly think a lot of smaller niche games only exist because AAA developers took away the creativity of custom games which in the longrun really just means more money spread around for developers with the counter of playerbases spread across more titles which can lead to games withering without the player numbers unless a random big streamer gives them a boost or something. Personally i remember making a darkly lit copy of the spencer mansion in timesplitters 2 and sharing it with my friends and we all had a great time, but i dont think we are going to get those sort of things as more than the rare standout anymore. Thats time and consumer distractions from 'funpay minibuys' from AAA's point of view.
I posted some rules for a gamemode through steam discussions awhile ago: - Random ops first round - you play the next round as the operator that killed you - if multiple people are killed by same operator; they race to be the first with the others having to choose recruit - if you survive the round, you get to choose your operator the next one and some other rules but I don't need to post them all here Additionally thought of a gamemode where its 10 vs Infinite AI, there's still 5 attackers and 5 defenders but you're being attacked by hordes of enemies, the Defenders protect a spawn zone and the attackers have to disable enemy spawn zones. You'd need more variety of enemy types though.
Having custom game creation like this lengthens a games lifespan as when you get bored of doing the same exact thing in a competitive sense you just go to a custom game tweak settings and suddenly you get a memorable gamemode that stays with the series forever *cough* Grifball *cough*
This is exactly what Siege needs. The point about limited devs is huge. If more customization options are given to the community, then there are more problems that can be fixed. We can look at different modding communities who have fixed lots of bugs in games, especially games like siege which have poor technical foundations (ex. FONV). With more access, more people can be working on the game at once. I hope ubisoft sees this and takes action. Great video Raycevick.

Also bring back ALL maps for ranked... they're fun
One thing that overwatch has done well is literally allow you to code your own gamemodes. Fully from scratch, they invented their own code base and opened it up to the player base allowing them to program completely new mechanics way way way beyond the base game.

this is question i have asked many R6 content creators about either unlocking the game in customs or allowing custom maps/doing more community created content for the game its good to see a video asking a similar question.
When Halo MCC comes out, we are going to see a pretty sizeable migration of players from many games to it, Siege is going to take a harder hit than most.
I love this idea so much because i first played the game back on the alpha & it was so much fun & i have been playing ever since i am lvl 498 at the moment & when the 3v3 mode came out it was some of the most fun i have ever had on the game i fell in love with it so i was only agreeing to your concept i liked the video i mean i left a like not only liked it ;)
I was thinking about a week ago. What if siege added back all of the maps that weren’t reworked. Now that house is getting reworked and kanal has been reworked, I think siege should add all the old events and maps into the custom game options. Maybe a gun game? I know priest has one but it just doesn’t feel right, but it’s still pretty fun. And maybe they add all the old builds into the game also like a year 1 season 1 option, where maps had no lighting at all and they looked beautiful. They could make the game so much better with evolving custom games.
The simple fact that the Quake 3 DeFRaG community is still making content shows how much you can expand a game's longevity by giving players creative power to make the game they want to play.
Yes! Raycevick is back with another Siege Video! This is the video I wanted to see from a popular Influencer for so long! Honestly, I would give multiple season's worth of content for a fully developed Custom Mode, Overwatch Style, especially if it could also be applied to THunt. (They should also give just a little but of Renown and XP for it, it doesn't have to be much, so people won't exploit it for fast and easy renown, but at least something so it doesn't feel like it's "for no reason") It might seem like a lot for several months of no new content, but in return, we would get years of replayable fun action that would be timeless, just like the Halo Series. No need to ask the developers for "this" or "that" as far as balancing changes go; we become the developers, and we fine tune our experience just how we want it. This videos millions of views and the attention of the devs. If we show how bad we want this, maybe one day we'll get it.
10 minute round on hostage. Defenders and attackers switch spawn and defenders then try to push back into the building to end the hostages life after the attackers moved it to a different section.
Spooky Tower looks really fun, thanks for the idea, going to share it with my friends. Edit: just a note just because you explain better than I do, 2:24
There’s a reason why cs has remained the top competitive shooter for almost 20 years. The community being able to tweak the game as much as the developers themselves helped that gam a lot in its earliest days. Bomb defuse was a community created idea, dust 2 was a community created map, the meta of the games are completely made by the community. Siege is still a developing game as Ubisoft still got around 40 more operators to add for them to reach the 100 operator goal. The game would benefit a lot in both the casual scene and the competitive scene if it was able to be modified like cs
Custom Mode: Columbine Use map Bartlett University. In this mode there is 1 shooter and 5 or more students on tactical realism aswell as on hostage to prevent complications. There is one shooter who isnt allowed to ADS with their primary. They may use any weapon or gadget. (Of course you can change things how you see fit) the shooter may not sprint. Any extra attackers must be given 30 seconds to run inside to get either with the other students or just away from the shooter for the meantime. All students must pick recruit, including students on attacking. I recommend that all students use shotguns, barbwire and nitros to break things and use the barbwire to potentially slow down the shooter. Any shooter than spawns on attack may use their smoked and stuns. The students all have to be recruit, they are not ever under any circumstance allowed to attack the shooter. They may only run and hide. Set the time from anywhere to 3-5 minutes depending on how hard you want it to be. At the last 30 seconds any students that are still alive must run outside to either the payphone in the back of the map or the front gated entrance area. One a student gets there they must inform the shooter that they escaped and the shooter is no longer allowed to shoot them, they are allowed to shoot people trying to make it there of course. The shooter is not allowed taking the hostage. If you have any questions because i may have missed some things give me a shout. Ive played this with many people many times. Turn off team swap and only set 2-3 rounds oer match so more people can play as the shooter. Also i recommend not allowing the shooter to play as recruit, although it may be funny it is very frustrating when a recruit shoots you.
Actually during one of the seasons...They wanted to implement something like this where you could have more of one operator (Like 5 Tachanka’s) but they had to drop it later
All I want from custom games at the moment is to be able to play old/new versions of the maps like being able to load up old Hereford. It could give the game better quality and allow for these minigames to live (RIP Deathrun).
I hope for halloween they do a custom game mode, that would be great especially since they add all those new outfits and make the ops look good and even re design a map for the events they host each halloween
imagine how in depth they could go. what if we could give people different gadgets, or equip mutliple gadgets. imagine jackal with lions scan secondary gadget vs 5 invisible defenders on cav, who still leave prints during silent step but need it active to uncrouch. that would be fucking fun
it kills me to learn that this game is popular. as someone who still actively plays rainbow six 3, its such a fucking kick to the teeth to know that we'll never ever have a real sequel :(
Very well thought out video as always raycevick. I've been playing siege since the beta and I agree the custom game options do need a bit of tweaking. I think your last point brings it home the best because ubi always breaks something. The transition has to be slow. the last thing they want is to tweak custom game settings and then the custom games break the next week during pro league. Customs creativity are a great way to increase the longevity of the game and allow players to be offered a fresh taste of the game. My only concern really is when you mentioned the invisible operators, if there was a setting that could turn that on and off during a custom game I think that is something that will lead to many bugs in ranked/casual and also a thing hackers might be able to exploit in some way. The invisible op glitch holds a special place in every siege player's heart where they were killed by a caviera exploiting that bug and ruining the game. It's just a touchy subject for many people.
I am immediately reminded of Unreal Tournament 1999 when it comes to allowing the community to work with the core game engine, at a time when the only video game publisher revenue was from straight up brand new sales. Gotta love 21st Century video games as a "live service" :/

this is question i have asked many R6 content creators about either unlocking the game in customs or allowing custom maps/doing more community created content for the game
its good to see a video asking a similar question.
Just imagine either a team of 5 ashes blowing everything up or having 10 echo drones, or even 5 twitch drones in the prep phase
When Halo MCC comes out, we are going to see a pretty sizeable migration of players from many games to it, Siege is going to take a harder hit than most.
If only this was true :(
I love custom games on siege. One of my friends best games we made is a adaptation of Trouble in Terrorist Town in R6s.
I love this idea so much because i first played the game back on the alpha & it was so much fun & i have been playing ever since i am lvl 498 at the moment & when the 3v3 mode came out it was some of the most fun i have ever had on the game i fell in love with it so i was only agreeing to your concept i liked the video i mean i left a like not only liked it ;)
The way you say 'Caveira' is adorable.
Because UBISOFT is the big corporate evil now.. xD
I feel what was said in this video is what overwatch does really well, and having this applied to siege would be really fun
So what you're basically asking for is R6 Siege : Dead by Daylight Edition?
I was thinking about a week ago. What if siege added back all of the maps that weren’t reworked. Now that house is getting reworked and kanal has been reworked, I think siege should add all the old events and maps into the custom game options. Maybe a gun game? I know priest has one but it just doesn’t feel right, but it’s still pretty fun. And maybe they add all the old builds into the game also like a year 1 season 1 option, where maps had no lighting at all and they looked beautiful. They could make the game so much better with evolving custom games.
to be honest I think ubisoft should just let people mod the game
then people would make custom skins and Ubisoft would get triggered
@@onemorescout do the valve thing and have people make skins for them
Imagine community maps, modes, and weapon skins. That would be amazing.
The simple fact that the Quake 3 DeFRaG community is still making content shows how much you can expand a game's longevity by giving players creative power to make the game they want to play.
8:18 I recognized jellos voice lmao
Why when he says 5 he sounds like the robot off of doom?😂
GLORIOUS
My friends and I play the “Michael Myers” game mode with Caveira all the time. We call the game mode “Scary Caveiry”.
Spooky Tower looks really fun, thanks for the idea, going to share it with my friends.
Edit: just a note just because you explain better than I do, 2:24
When me and my homies play seige I always have our party turn the brightness to zero making the interior pitch black and more spooky
Raycevick literally has the voice of The Master Chief and it's AMAZING

Custom Mode: Columbine
Use map Bartlett University.
Changing brightness is fun makes Michael Myers more spooky
2:23 Oh the nostalgia, I never thought I’d hear this sound again
Thank you for including Melee in your video. MELEE!
"Why not invisible players? Your games engine is obviously capable of that."
Called their asses out
imagine how in depth they could go. what if we could give people different gadgets, or equip mutliple gadgets. imagine jackal with lions scan secondary gadget vs 5 invisible defenders on cav, who still leave prints during silent step but need it active to uncrouch. that would be fucking fun
it kills me to learn that this game is popular. as someone who still actively plays rainbow six 3, its such a fucking kick to the teeth to know that we'll never ever have a real sequel :(
I really like your use of Sau_Siege's art
me and my buddies love playing one in the chamber, I'd love to have more custom games options
Whenever you get that 6 Person team in a 5 Player game, it ends with voting someone off the island.
I am immediately reminded of Unreal Tournament 1999 when it comes to allowing the community to work with the core game engine, at a time when the only video game publisher revenue was from straight up brand new sales. Gotta love 21st Century video games as a "live service" :/
exhibit C was literally this seasons special event with the rodeo thingy
10:14 Smoothest delivery.
We need more costum modes from you
What I would *love* to be possible in Siege custom games would be: any operator, any side.
I would definitely like if they allowed the limited time game modes to come back as custom games or something like that so the people that missed them can be able to play them
made a game mode for easter, easter egg hunt with valk cams. was so much fun.
Are you gonna do another years later? I know its a lot of work, but its so cool that you go in such depth.
I can see 5 caveiras vs 5 jackals in a cat and mouse game
DAAAAMN THAT WAS A GOOD ROAST!!!
"Why cant we make players invisible, we know your engines can do it?"
"Why can't you make people invisible? Your engine obviously supports that"
I'm in San Diego and heard that oof in Montreal
