- Just Your Average Teen…With SUPER POWERS!
Alex is a normal thirteen-year-old, dreading her first day of junior high school and trying to deal with the typical adolescent concerns, like just feeling ordinary. A toxic spill changes all that. On her way home from school, a chemical accident suddenly leaves her biologically altered.

When I was a kid watching the show, this girl looked like a full grown adult to me. Now she looks like a little kid.
altoidsours I know right?!?
altoidsours Definitely after season 1 is where she changed overnight
It's true.
in Season 1 she looked my age, but in Season 2+ she looked so much older than me. She was exactly my age the whole time btw
Haha I thought the same thing watching this video!
They were so proud of that CGI sphere spin with the logo they had to show it twice. The things we were impressed with in the 90s...
Bro...that was legit my first thought too.
I love how she recounts the story about toxic chemicals being spilled on her so nonchalantly all while wacky music is being played in the background!
And she can NEVER tell her parents apparently? Um, why not? Surely that's the exact kind of thing a child should tell their parents about!
U guys lookin into it way to hard lmao 90s were the best w kids tv I sware
@@louisrose1745 aww I feel it
Actually, the chemicals weren't toxic. It was an imperfected experimental substance that possesses mutagenic properties.
@@rorz999 Actually, it was her sister who wanted to keep their parents in the dark about the accident and Alex's powers because their father's boss was a cruel and ruthless woman that was greedy and selfish who cared very little for the lives of others, valuing herself above everything else to get what she wanted, no matter the cost (even if it was illegal) and were scared and suspicious that she'd want to hurt Alex other than treating her like a disposable lab rat, not realizing that if they told their parents, their father could've warned his boss about everything from the beginning and put a stop to all the trouble.
Instead of getting cancer or horrible burns, she gets super powers! Way to luck out!
😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆

Or blinded and developed heightened abilities of her other senses.
The cancer probably came later.
Original it was supposed to be a wonder drug that would allow people to eat anything they want and never gain weight.
I completely forgot this show existed. In my memories I thought it was just a Capri Sun commercial.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
lol oh yea because Capri Sun had those commercials with the kids turning into liquid...
💀
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Fair comparison
I've literally not thought about this show in over 20 years, then I stumbled across an obscure reference to it, and suddenly it all flooded back into my mind like some sort of deeply repressed memory. Crazy.
Me too!!!! Lol
For some reason I suddenly remembered this show while I was sitting at work, it was so random. And I was only 3 or 4 when this show was on the air.
same lol
Ohh obscure references are TIGHT.
I heard the word "Mac" and this show instantly popped into my head. Weird how memories work.
"Would you want to grow up here?" What looks like a nice peaceful suburb? Yes!
Kids these day will never know what it was like growing up in the 90's
At all
Myles Gelóneck Obviously. You’ll never know what it was like growing up in the 1830’s. Someone born yesterday will have no idea what it’s like growing up in the year 2217. I realize you were trying to hint at the fact that the time period you grew up in is somehow greater than the current climate children are being raised in, but you just came off as someone who doesn’t understand how time works.
Wrath of Vaughn lmao.
Myles Gelóneck yeah the best times period
Agreed! We had it all back then when it came to good tv! Long live 90's Nickelodeon! Really wish I could go back to that time! (Born 1986)
I used to watch this all the time. Also, Clarissa Explains it All, Are You Afraid of the Dark, Space Cases, and All That.
Those were the good times
Right the SNICK line-up...:-)
That's how I found this. I was checking out the shows from SNICK and seeing if any were online Btw...www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/clarissa-explains-it-all-reboot-starring-melissa-joan-hart-works-at-nickelodeon-1094940
Ren and Stimpy too
Natalie C I thought I was the only one.
between Captain Planet and Alex Mack, millennials grew up knowing corporations were bad news since we were itty bitty lol. I LOVED this show.
Not all of us are libtards. Those shows were also pushed by corporations, you buffoon.
Nickelodeon is owned by a corporation (Viacom)
There was another show called VR Troopers which was Saban’s follow up to Power Rangers, but in that the villain is an alien who disguises himself as a wealthy industrialist
Used to love this show! Loads of mid 90’s nostalgia.
Used to get up early every Saturday morning to watch this. God I miss the 90's so bad
i wish i could to go back there... just for 5 minutes.. deamn
Probably does dude😎
@@zefearth973 snick was the shit back in the day
That awkward realisation that you're older than the parents in kid's shows... I feel a mid life crisis coming on.
Agggh! Lalala I’m not listening! 😂
I don’t think I seen this before or not but it would be nice if I did see it
I remember this show, where’s the 90s babies at??
Here. 🙋🏾♀️
Someone saw the success of Terminator 2 and thought those special effects would look super fly as a kids show.
It’s funny because the same special effects people who worked on T2 did the effects for this show too.
@@escabasket153 wow

I remembered watching this when I was like 12 or 13 and it always amazes me and feel jealous of how cool it is to study in the US, stuffs like not wearing uniforms, having your own locker at school.. things like these are not common in the Philippines.
When I was in High School over a decade ago In the UK, we had quite strict uniform policies. We rarely got to wear our own clothes except for on designated "fun days" and our lockers were small cubes. I think it's good we had uniforms looking back. I never had much money and I didn't like the days where we could wear our own clothes because it highlighted that I was poorer than most of my classmates. I went to a fairly good school in a nice area. The students were middle-class or upper middle-class.
Not getting shot probably outweighs all the things you mentioned
@@MrJ-ro1yr Yeah you're right, I've never been shot. At least not to my knowledge.
Uniforms just seem awful to force onto kids. Flannel shirts like Alex is wearing are so much more comfortable. If it gets too hot you can tie them around your waist; they also can double as a butt blanket for sitting on grass.
I went to high school in Fullerton California and we didn’t have lockers. Class of 2002. I did always trip out when I would go to Mexico and found out kids had to wear shitty uniforms. But had they’re own lockers.
Wow she's a lot younger than I remember. Probably because I was like 7 years old when this show aired. I absolutely loved it. This show was probably what got me into the SciFi genre tbh. She was such a cool protagonist with so many original powers I have never seen replicated in comics or videogames since.
Because she was so young when it started, she aged pretty quickly... as kids do. So you're probably remembering the later episodes. And the fact that you were younger too, everyone looks older closer to your age when you're young. I had the same thought watching the intro
I thought exactly the same thing! I used to think she seemed so much older than I was and really grown up. In reality she probably was only about three years older at the time but that's a huge difference when you're a kid. She looks so young looking back as an adult.
Thanks for being honest
Chemicals gave this girl wacky powers and Daredevil his abilities, I feel sorry for the guy at the end of Robocop
Don’t forget the Joker…
I used to watch this when I was very young and pretended to be able to turn into that liquid puddle and ran around as if I was in puddle mode, used to imagine myself being able to slide under doors and everything. Ahh young imagination.. ☺️
Can still do that with some angel dust
Heck yeah puddle mode
Would you be able to reform into a crystal duck too? 😄
Back when Nickelodeon was Nickelodeon!!
It was always a very sick company infested with pedos.

They are. Just because you personally choose not to look into something, doesn't mean it doesn't exist.
Sitting there watching tv and all of a sudden the name alex mack came to mind and i dunno why i smiled. But now I know havnt seen this show in like 25 years 😅 nostalgia is one hell of a feeling
Love the intro " Would you want to grow up here, I had to" Please I grew up there and love it. Santa Clarita is great place to live. I remember seeing them film this at my Junior High when I was in summer school lol
That puddle looked way cooler and HD when I was little
I remember loving this show as a kid. There was also a show called “The Mystery Files Of Shelby Woo” but I think it was as popular as this show because no one really talks about that show as much as this one here .
this show was ahead of its time
I loved this show. I remember one day I was watching an episode that I had already seen and when I changed the channel, my grandma demanded I change it back. I was so shocked that out of all shows, she really liked this one lol.
As someone who was born in the early 80s and liked 80s shows, but was still young enough for kids shows in the 90s, I didn't like 90s shows as much and really missed the cool 80s ones. Alex Mack was an exception. I thoroughly enjoyed this show.
You're an 80s kid you imposter! only an 80s kid would think that way.
Are you saying Batman the animated series, X-men and Gargoyles were not cool kids shows?

This show is freaking AWESOME!!

I use to watch it before I left for work in the morning 😂😂😂 it was on at 7am & I'd be in work at 8am which was a 15 minute walk from my house. I'm 46 nxt month haha
"Would you want to grow up here?" As a kid who watched Alex Mack in the dead of Midwestern winters, Alex's town looked AMAZING to me! It was always sunny and warm and they never needed winter jackets or hats or scarves! How could she hate living there???
Vibrating Cat it looks like a boring suburb town with nothing to do. Just go to work and go home.
It’s in California, so probably a lot to do.
It's Arizona.
Wow! This brings back memories. I used to watch this show :)
Candy Love we all did that's why we're here
Candy Love good morning
Candy Love no.venom comebacks little nemo.on HBO..
Candy Love I did too.
I would watch this religiously
I love watching Alex Mack Show , I started watching the show because Alex she is a very beautiful girl .. some times I wish I could be part of the show.. plus I wish I had a friends like Alex Mack and Ray and all the people that are cast in the show.. I love watching Alex Mack and I wish more people made more shows like these
"would you wanna grow up here? I HAVE to"
shows beautiful suburb now considered out of reach for most 90s kids
It’s Paradise Valley, Arizona and that place today got lots of 💰
OMG! I been looking for this show thru years! No one remembers at my country and now I finally found it🎉 this is so satisfying
This show looks so much better than shows I watch.
Oh honey back then when I was living in the 90's as a kid tv was fun: some shows educated children: Popular Mechanic for kids, Beakman, Eco adventure amazon, The animal world of Kratts! It was until 2003 that Discovery kids channel (it was also for teens) went down to the garbage! It became discovery babies!
But even Cartoon Network, Fox kids (who then became Jetix) and Nicelodeon.....it was literally the golden era of tv for teens and kids!!!!
It was awesome
I remember one sunday morning i was around 6yrs my parents were at church i was in the living room we had a couch that folds out into a bed and its strange but i was laying under the bed staring up at the tv watching this
After seeing another video reference this, and being hit by a wave of nostalgia... I think this intro got jocked so unbelievably hard by the Wild Thornberrys, that it made it hard to remember
If this doesn't cry out the 90's, IDK what will man.
0:05 "Would you want to grow up here?"
Aside from all the houses being the same color it doesn't look like a terrible place, so yes?
Huge crush on Larisa Oleynik growing up... “10 Things I Hate About You” is highly underrated
Takes me back to the time it came out, such a simpler time.
Hopefully I have the entire series on my collection. I have only few episodes left to watch but I can't because I don't want to finish this masterpiece. It is so good, everyone should add this to their collection and this show worths millions.
Where did you buy the series?

I love all these 90s tv shows I have this on dvd
One of the BEST shows on Nick!
This, Eerie Indiana, Crystal maze, Wishbone, Round the twist, Power rangers, Are you afraid of the dark, Saved by the bell, Buffy etc. All of them original in their own ways. Not like the shit today, and that's not even my "nostalgia goggles" it literally is shit. If you were a 90's kid you lived in the golden age of television. That's just a fact.
2 year old comment but a new version of Crystal Maze is on Nickelodeon currently! :) On Friday nights at 7 PM EST.
Saved by the bell reboot coming this year...

Thank you for releasing this show. I bought it when you released the DVDs. This was my pre teen favourite show.

In the 90s we children instinctively knew the establishment was so corrupt that you could end up being sold to a chemical company. These were the days before Aaron Brockovich
Used to love me some of these Nickelodeon shows. Man do I wish we could rewind just once at least!!! Thank you for sharing. Have a great one all!
Was looking forward to this show when I was a kid in the 90's. It's being aired in Studio 23 channel, Philippines. And I remember it is being shown always after the channels Station ID/ Channel theme song, singing along with it. Very nostalgic upon writing this! 🤩🥰
Loved this show! The 90s were awesome!
Thank you. I love how good of condition this is in. Looks like it's right off of the TV. I appreciate it because a lot of '90s content on UA-cam looks as if it was chopped up by a blender beforehand. This show scared the fucking hell out of me when I was a child, but I really liked it. My favorite effect is when Alex turns into liquid.
Uhh wow, this brings back so many memories of my childhood. Eating jello, pudding, snacks galore, and pizza. And watching Snick at night. And then switching over to the USA network to watch USA up all night, and Friday the 13th movies. Life was so much easier back then and different. Always keep in mind, no matter how old we get, it is always important for us to never lose that inner child in us.
Alex Mack, Goosebumps, are you afraid of the dark, Power rangers, Eerie Indiana and of course, care bears ❤
I used to LOVE this show and Clarissa explains it all 😀😀😀. Growing up in the 90’s was the best.

Major nostalgia here haha brilliant.
Total nostalgia!
After 10+ long years... I have finally found it, more treasure to my collection.
7th grade, man 😌 It's been since I've watched this show, following _Clarissa Explains It All_ too. Being a 11 turning 12 year old youngin at the time watching this, I had a lil' amount of attraction towards Alex (Larisa Oleynik), but it was Clarissa (Melissa Joan Hart) who stole my heart and had me into so many white girls then - some gotten to like me, others not so much on the count of me being a dork. Same thing going through early years of high school. Good times.
Lol yes good times indeed!
haha i had a total crush on both too... and one of the chicks on Salute Your Shorts lol.... good times....
I heard that Larisa Oleynik was actually considered for the role of Padmé the *Star Wars* Prequel Trilogy.
