Very nice tutorial, if you ever do any more on horses (maybe a beyond the basics series after your quick and easy series) I would love to see one of dappled horses, I always thought grey dappled ones looked really nice but wouldn't be sure how to paint it well.
@@ZhukovsBoots I did think about including them but I didn’t want it to be too long. My initial thoughts would be to follow a similar pattern with a grey speed paint or contrast, and then use a little bit of sponge with some tweezers to dapple a few lighter grey paints and perhaps a darker grey as well to add some variety.
I prime horses with the base color like rust brown or light grey or chocolate brown then work on from there. Walmart has a large selection of spray primer
@@donaldsettle990 that would be much quicker! I’ve got a fair few metal front rank minis where the saddles are on the rider rather than the horse, although when it comes to plastic I don’t think I know of any that don’t have the saddles attached to the horse
I don't own any plastics. I used to contract paint for several companies here in the states and I got 4 for one in trade so I have a few figures laying about 😊

@@donaldsettle990 thats also a great approach
My horses don't have any saddle furniture as they are metal so it's easier that way 😊
