I am so glad I found this video, I have watched several other ways of thinning wigs, the twist and snip method, the just cut out complete rows of hair at the cap method and some others but this one is by far the best method!! I like my wig so much more now that I have thinned with this method. And by thinning it the wig has a much more natural movement to it!! Thank you so much!

A new wig arrived yesterday and it looked like Little Orphan Annie..I never so so much hair and curls, not light and thinned out like the picture of the wig was. So..got me some thinning shears and went right to it and thinned the entire front. What a big difference! Now I can wear it and not just stick it back in the wig box and forget about it. I don't think I've ever made a comment on UA-cam but I just have to for this video! I am a new wig wearer, mine fell out due to an autoimmune response. I'm just now starting to find wigs to be 'fun' but I have a smaller head (but not small enough to be petite) and my bio hair was very thin and fine, so my Jon Renau Miranda wig is beautiful but very 'bulky' and unnatural feeling. I've watched several videos but this one was by far the best. Also you're just a joy; I feel like you're a bit of a kindred spirit. So thank you so much kind stranger :)

Can I just say that I heart you? I have always wondered how to customize wigs and thin out ones that are way to thick. As a sufferer of Alopecia since 2008 your videos are a huge help. My hair has grown back but recently in the past week and a half I have started noticing shedding (gotta love Alopecia, right?). I have some old wigs that I want to try to fix and your videos are amazing! Thank you so much!

This is ensures that you have the shears all the way at the base and the hair is pulled tightly.
