Idk anything about Sirens, yet here I am, enjoying these ambient sounds that these Sirens can produce. It’s incredible, and right up my alley, as I like listening to Ambient Music.
Sirens weren’t originally made to warn you of imminent danger, the first siren invented was to be used a music instrument. Sometimes given the chance a the right time and place, you can listen to something more beautiful all around you than you do normally on a single device.
nick i gotta say...i absolutley love this synth....i have not heard anything like it, the thunderbolts are dead on, the allertor is magnificeint and the whelen makes its even more eerie. truely amazing. keep up the good work.
I love that angelic sound that you can hear, with all the sirens tones mixing together, while the thunderbolt is facing away. I wonder if I could listen to it without the thunderbolt?
You know this is the first time I’m seeing this after not seeing it 10 years ago. Still an awesome sounding mix of sirens. Truly inspiring and in my opinion and classic synth ambience from back in the day if ya know what I mean. 😊
Great job! The only suggestions I have, which are for the TBolts, are that you should apply an HPF, set to the highest DB possible, with a cutoff frequency of 120, and a filter quality of 0 percent. This emulates the 120 DB cutoff on a TBolt horn. You should also fade the sound out rather abruptly about 8 seconds after the chopper motor starts winding down.
The ACA Allertor and Whelen WPS 4008 weather sirens play an F Major chord in its 1st inversion (A, C, F); The notes "C & F" belong to the Allertor while the single note "A" belongs to the WPS4008. Playing them together makes the secondary chord version (or 1st inversion) of the F major chord as long as the pitch is perfect/same.
The thunderbolts on the other hand sound out of tune due to its port ratio, making an eerie ambience. So I think the winners here (or the ones that don't sound really creepy, messed up, or alarming) are the ACA and Whelen tornado sirens.
@@destisinawe1221 I'm not a fan of the ThunderMods lol. The higher pitched modulator actually fit in really well. 🙁 I live by a 2T22 there, so my attention is caught pretty quickly on risk days!

Neon Flashsparkotron right! I feel your pain bro! I was sleeping cause I had dumb old school, and we had a tornado warning. Then we were okay and we went back to bed. Then like 40 minutes later the tornado siren went off. We get the craziest tornadoes, Im here in Cleveland County. Its a pretty nice and crazy place. Oh and be aware that we may have some crazy weather tomorrow and Tuesday.
the timings for the sirens are usually different So the one you were talking about is the Whelen and they typically are programmed to have about 1:30 mins worth of Alert then you have the thunderbolts at 3:00 mins along with the ACA Allertor

@LouisvilleTorn8o I ran the high pass at 100hz, 12db per octave, so there's probably too much bass. Then again, these headphones I am using aren't really good enough to discern that.
