I always love when folks try out some of these builds, just as they really are built for cost. One thing to look for with the build list you can click on the expand to see details on the build tier. In the case of the little Destitute, "The iGPU is enough to play most light-to-medium games, on low settings in 720p." So a 1080p low system it is not but honestly if you're building on such a tight budget, what you're saying is completely right in that there are still some ways to upgrade this in the long term if you're saving up.
To be fair Logical Increments only marks it as being barely able to do light office work. With 8 GB ram it will actually probably not be bad for that. The GPU should be able to watch UA-cam as well in HD.
Oh definitely. I just figured with the lack of GPUs on the market at the moment, building something like this gives you entry level with the ability to upgrade as you can actually secure hardware. Even these parts were very limited to grab. By no means would I game on this for my machine :-P
A steady *locked* 30fps can be pretty decent for gaming. Worth trying on that build. www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-2014-the-case-for-30fps-pc-gaming

Awesome details! Appreciate the additional feedback. I just happen to not have 720 monitors anymore :-P
Awesome video. Thank you!
