Call me crazy, but I prefer this album over Mirror Reaper. Yes, it's a legend of a record, but Clandestine Gate took all the best bits about Mirror Reaper and made the whole more dynamic and structurally (even) more engaging.
Definitely agree. I think the addition of all the other instrumental elements adds another layer of depth. The melodies this time better realize the vision of time standing still rather than a slog, which Mirror Reaper could feel like at times imo (still love it tho).
others bands do 2 hour documentaries for their 30 minute album. bell witch does a 5 minute docu for their 83 minute song

It clocks in at just about an hour and a half.
Perfect for that long depressive abysmal road trip.

By the time the other two albums release I could drive from DC to NYC and be depressed the whole time. 10/10
