Meanwhile the carnivore people are preaching about "lasting energy" because they go to the gym for an hour and burn 200 calories, then "still have energy to work all day". 😂

Great video. I really like the videos where you talk about what you eat, what to eat, what people eat in Asia/Africa, sustainable weight loss, etc. It keeps me on track.
Yeah .. cycling in the 80’s we were all carbs carbs sugar, but now I’ve switched to high fat low carbs and a zero sugar. I’m not preaching that it’s for everyone as I believe based on doctors advice that their is no one perfect diet for everyone or every cyclist. I’ve proven to myself that you can still race on no carbs as I’ve just done a track season and have had results at the age of 54 beating 20 year olds . I also do cyclocross mtb and road carb free.
@@DurianriderCyclingTips it was b grade I’m no cat 7 I’ve ridden the amateur Roubaix when I was racing in Belgium but my point is just because your not on carbs and sugar doesn’t mean you go backwards on the high fat diet at least I’m testing it out for myself to see the difference.
That’s what I like about you Harley you say it how it is and I like that , I want to get better as a cyclist so that’s why I listen to you .🚴♀️🇦🇺 Perth WA.
You are the messiah of weight loss and nutrition! I have learned more from you than anyone else because you say it how it is and don’t say good things about bad habits. I do believe some fat from olive oil or avocado is needed daily for the joint health/ digestion. I cut the fat to 0 last summer, got super lean at 60 kg pushing 300 watts over 50 min no problem, but I notice my joints take longer to heal and my digestion is not as good. There can be a point where the body ingests too much sugar and can develop gas. For the joints I have been doing epson salt baths and that works great and for digestion 1/4 of an avocado per day or less than 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Some fats do help the body so avoiding them totally I found to be the wrong move
people like this just come here to confuse, calling Durian Rider the Messiah is your first clue. Jesus Christ is the only Messiah and the Bible talks plenty about honey and sugar. Your second clue is that he's telling people to add additional fats to your food.

How come the WT riders and some of their nutritionists come to me then? DONT take life advice from a TOAD hehe. Unless you want to live on flys and crickets. Durianrider I'm fed up of being carbed up and lean with loads of energy to fly up the climbs so now I eat a kilo of mince with half a kilo of triple cream mixed in for breakfast. Followed by a litre of coffee with a whole stick of butter stirred in. Then I put on a grands worth of lycra with the jersey zip up so far that it wears down my front teef enamel and get on my 20 grand bike and ride 10k to the cafe at 50rpm and 150Watts where I have 3 double espresso's. I ride for 6 hours like this and drink about 3000 milligrams of caffeine and when I get home I'm so charged up I don't even have to waste time going to sleep! Sod your carbs! 🖕😹

Because refined sugar is so feared, I fear the day it disappears from the supermarket shelves because of shitty weight loss advise.
Traditional morning breakfast by asian filipinos is rice and sprinkle it with a salt and mix it! That’s it!
