Sweet is a relative term.... But there is a reason some languages are considered sweeter than others.... The softness, the rounded and warm tones.... Bengali sounds sweet due to many of these qualities.... It is softer as all harsh and sharp tones are removed almost deliberately.... Originally from Bihar I often speak pretty rugged Bengali.... However, even I am sometimes amazed by how soft and whisperry some people speak Bengali.....

Waleska, your imagination in terms of the choir comparing to tiny droplets falling into the calm surface of waterbody is such beautiful and adorable. Your understanding of music is much more worthy of appreciation.
This seems like Rabindra Sangeet. It is a rendition style started by Rabindra Nath Tagore, India’s first Nobel Prize winner for Literature. This musical style and other forms of unique artistic expressions are best preserved at Shantiniketan in West Bengal, where Tagore started a Centre-at any rate, it has become a centre. It is a unique genre. One cannot call it Indian Classical Music, but it has staked its own claim to classicism.
Thanks for the information. Query: Should the term Rabindra Sangeet be applied ONLY to songs written by Tagore, or extended to the signature rendition style, as we now so readily recognise? Musically speaking, should reggae be ONLY about Bob Marley and earlier exponents, or even those who followed the style later?
