- Does your Ford Model A have a Log Book? Did your Model A come with a Log Book?
In todays video I’m going to share 2 different ways to keep a Log Book for your Model A, why it’s so important to keep a Log Book and what you put in your Log Book!
Keep those Model A’s driving for generations to come!

What a great way to keep history alive. Can you imagine finding your journal under Roadie’s seat in a hundred years??
Wow, that’s a cool thought 😍 Thank you!
I keep a log on all my cars.
I actually started keeping a log on what Paul did to Stella. Things that we talked about when we were there and what was on his videos.
This is good information for people who own cars. 👍🏽
Awesome 🥳💕 thank you!
I have kept a log book since 1972 when I purchased Honeybun. In addition to maintenance & mileage, I describe where we drive her, tours, car shows & day outings.
That’s awesome!!! Thanks for sharing, good stuff!!
I track mileage and maintenance in all my cars via a log. But you've given me an idea for when I get my Model A. I think I'll add a secondary journal of things we've done, places we went, a "stories of the journey" if you will with dates/locations/etc. Thank you as always, have a blessed week ~ Chuck
Hey, I love that secondary idea!! I think when the day came and you sold it or passed it down to someone in your life, the stories would be awesome to read! Have a blessed weekend 💗
Good point, I keep a spiral note pad in my trucks and need to do the same for all of my tractors too. I also put the type of oil, amount and filter type on my note pads. Thanks for the reminder/advice, and I hope you have a great day and blessed weekend.
That’s awesome, thank you, and great advice! Have a blessed weekend!
Excellent topic for the newbies. I have a file which will be converted into a 3 ring binder with the plastic sheet holders displaying all records of our car including a letter from the original owner about the car. Great topic Tina.
Thank you 💕 Oh wow that’s awesome!! Thanks for sharing!! That’s super fancy!!
How's the training for your marathon runs Tina? How are your chickens doing? Getting ready for spring gardening? I don't think I could keep up with your schedule your one busy woman.
Logbooks, and documentation certainly can raise the resale value of all vehicles.
Hi Mack! Ya I haven’t done videos in my other channel for a while, I need to get back to that, I love helping others! I’m actually running a half marathon trail race tomorrow, Saturday so I’m excited about that! Getting seeds planted and garden is changing soon, my poor greenhouse got blown apart in our last big stop so major repairs will be made soon lol
Thank you for asking, hope you are doing well 💕
I started a log book on mine when I replaced the engine. In addition to the usual oil/filter changes, grease jobs and parts replacements/repairs, I also keep notations in the log as to when & where we go on tours and car shows. It makes it an easy task to tally up how many miles per year.
That’s awesome 💗🥳
Hi Tina! Thanks for showing us how to keep a log book for our cars! It's something I always wanted to do, but never had the determination to do it. If I had a collector car such as a Model A, I would for sure, try to keep a log on it! I LOVE your idea of using a calendar based book with several years included that would make keeping the log much easier!
Thank you so much 💕 I hope you get your chance soon!
The book is an excellent idea. I also keep a file with all of my receipts and note any details, if it's unclear what the item was for.
Yes, that’s excellent advice! Have a great weekend!
Can’t hear you to well😢thanks for the vlog, thanks BigAl California. I’m looking for a 1955 Chevy 2or4 door roller car,😮if you find one ,thanks BigAl California.
Reminds me of USAF Aircraft Maintenance Log Books, if you saw a “Red X,” it meant the Aircraft was “Grounded.” Or not in Flying mode. Like Shut down. Thanks, Miss Tina.
Thank you for sharing! Have a nice weekend!
When I get another Model A (had one in 1976) I'm going to record information in a journal similar to aircraft logbooks, You record what was done when. In one section of the journal you could mention having an issue with noise, a certain problem with rough running engine and what you did to remedy the problem. Another section what parts you bought.
Maybe even record the trips you took, people you encountered along the way.
You have a great idea there Tina.
Great share, thank you 🥳
That is a good idea thanks Tina.
I've been keeping a log book for our 1929 Tudor Sedan since we got it last August. The restoration dates and details did not come with the car so we are going through the car and checking on brakes, front end, rear end, updating parts that are worn and need replacing, etc. We write down everything we do to the car and everywhere we go.
Too bad it didn’t come with a past log, but you are doing it now and that’s awesome!! 🥳👏
I don't own a Model A (yet) but your video has encouraged me to start one for my 1966 Mustang ( I think I did the oil change last year??). Yes time to make a log book. I've kept the receipts for the major things in a file in chronological order so I'm not completely delinquent. I enjoy your videos ( and Paul's) keep up the good work. Blessings from Canada
Thank you so much! 💕
Well Tina, good morning and you have given me such a good idea and……….., home work!
Thank you for this very important contents of this UA-cam topic.
I will do exactly what you have explained in this week topic! Yes, I can go back as far as 2020 when I have undergone a total technical and light cosmetic restoration as I have all the bills of Snyder’s and more that I can start my compilation of this logbook project.
You see, this topic you presented is so important that one, does not realize the time goes by so fast, that these important information vanish and after a few years you don’t have any records of what, when and how it was done!!!!!!
Tina again THANK YOU SOO MUCH for this episode of this UA-cam session! Well done!!!! Really a good contribution to each one of us that has these wonderful piece of history and backup by a as complete possible LOGBOOK! Also a good new week for you and Paul and god bless you both!!!!
Wow, thank you so much for sharing, that’s awesome 💗 Take care and God bless you!!
Another great video. Thank you, I will start a log this summer.
Awesome, thank you!
Weird I'm in Denver Co ,on tuesday it was 20 degrees and snow, today it was 70 degrees and sun., on sunday your storm will be hitting us hear .
?
Boy you’re like us, weather’s all over the place!
i put the miles in the book also
Awesome!!
Any digital record ? For future reference
Digital, like as on a computer? For all we know, computers may not be able to be used in the future, but people will always be able to write…if we haven’t turned into zombies lol
Good Ides model T .
wes it raining there ?
Thanks! Yes raining and stormy still
@@Modeltshinn I heard the the rain in my headphones!
@@mattomon1045 oh wow! how’s the weather in your area?
i keep one for my Roadster, i keep it under the seat
Nice!!
The Brits keep at log as part of their MOT.
Awesome!! 💗
Good idea to keep the log on these cars. Use pen and paper. The first person who says the have an App for this on their phone for a low tech car will be forced to come to my barn and scape 50 years of grease from the chassis and clean out the raccoon infested interior of my next project
I love it!!!! Good stuff!
