This song hits home. I was groomed and sexually abused as a child. I didn't even know what sex is at that time, but i was conditioned to like it. I'm now an adult and i've been wanting to sell my body for sex these days because i think it's the only thing i'm good at. I know it sounds impossible. Why would sexual abuse victims want to reenact their abuse? this is why the lyrics say "you'll never understand" because it's indeed hard for people to understand, but this issue does exist. People have different reactions to abuse and trauma.
It makes a lot of sense for you to feel that way so don't think that you're weird of ''messed up''. I haven't been groomed but I've had a pretty fucked up life and after all these years I still tend to gravitate towards the very things that made my life like hell, even though I hate it, it's the thing ''closest'' to me. So even though it pretty much goes against my very DNA I do my best to stay away from things that I know aren't good for me. I know it's not a good thing to hurt people so I don't hurt them even if every cell in my body wants to, I help people in need even though I would love to watch them suffer etc. I'd say it would be best for you to not sell your body even if it feels like the right thing to do, it'll only bring you misery and pain. Once you let your mind loose it's going to be very hard to let go.
