This was some of the best writing in the show in terms of entertainment. This whole storyline was so genuinely funny, surprising, believable, sweet and somehow did not cross over into being cheesy or cringey. Then they ruined it by making Mel be a cheater five minutes later, of course, but up to that point it was a great story in the show.
Ive watched the reboot and the original and its just dawning on me that the baby is silver from the reboot. 😂 Completely forgot Mels her dad and davids her brother. Because she only really mentions the mom and Kelly in the reboot.

She was the main character. They probably would’ve done the same thing to Brenda had she stayed. The only unscathed character was Donna and that's because Aaron Spelling refused to drag his real life daughter through the mud.
No. Jackie was a part of the reason why Kelly had so many emotional issues and was all over the place. Yes. Parents are humans and make mistakes but she put a LOT of responsibility on her teenage daughter.
She may be boring but she is dependable, trustworthy and kind, that may make her boring to you but do you want a mom who lies, says your a inconvenience, chooses men over you, drinks way too much and is mean when she drinks or hungover?
