Thanks. You answered a number of questions that were running around my brain about these systems. I am going to give a look at your video on mortars as well, I see the greatest value in these systems as area denial, even into the late game. Mines for the win!
Can you cover how the AI reacts to the fascam mines? I'm fairly certain they're aware of them and sometimes try to avoid, but it would be nice to have that confirmed
I have just found your vids on 3062 , very helpful . I have a vehicle bay , but have never been able to salvage or buy vehicles . Any insight on this ? Just salvaged my first 110 ton mech today , discovered they go over 100 lol . Have a great day =)
👁👄👁 They actually put a tactical nuke into the mod ? Well, there's no kill like *overkill* amirite ? A lot of people probably know this already, but the Davy Crockett was the name given to an artillery launched tactical nuclear device developed by the USA during the early cold war era. Yes, that was a real thing. About to start my first BTA 3062 playthrough. I'm sure plenty has changed since these videos were made, but this information is useful nonetheless.
@@celticdemolition accuracy mainly, inderect fire has an accuracy debuff, so in the case of lrms for example less are likely to hit the target if the fire is indirect as opposed to direct. From an artillery stand point though doesnt really matter if it aoe your going for, but if you want your main shaped charge shell for instance to hit a specific mech you are more likely with direct
@@celticdemolition Personally I tend to use more indirect fire modes than direct, especially for INFERNO rounds. To me it feels like I get better results with indirect fire modes with all ammo, but I admit I have no imperical data to back that up.
Love your videos. I don't have any experience with tabletop so these breakdowns really help. Keep it up!
Thats what im here for!
Thanks again for the info brother!!
No problem!

As far as I'm aware the vehicles are still in the introduction phase so only a few are currently available.

FYI one hex is 30 meters
Also, what exactly is the difference between direct and indirect fire modes?
Solid line, dotted lines. -1 to hit
As walt man said, solid line is direct fire which means enemy is in line of sight, indirect fire is a dotted line which means you cant see them.
@@MangaMaD yeah, but functionally, what does that mean? If I have the option to shoot either, what are the tradeoffs?

I used to be an adventurer like you, then I took an Arrow IV in the knee...
Hmm the Shaped charge should have an AoE as small as a T-Bolt15.
Which one?
@@MangaMaD Thumper and Sniper Shaped Charges, at least the Thumper. I can put in the suggestion box on the discord.
Ive seen players just use these in vehicles. An early chaparral or ballista could be very effective
The first things I get in a play through. They are game changing just like in real life. Arty is the king if the battlefield
