Look, I hate to be that guy, but the AF defined supercruise as greater than Mach 1.5 without afterburner XD I knew the bugs were a tad slow at the top compared to the lower number F's, but so is everyone else until the numbers get real high. The super bug has a hard to beat climbing speed though doesn't it? I'm an Aussie so I love both the types only Canada flies, to the multiple flavours of super. P.S. I'd bet a lot that both Hornets have the thrust to take off & fly with their wings up. Particularly when you know it's not armed. P.P.S. This was awesome, thanks Gonky!!
