Im glad you guys acknowledged the fact that Brees was snubbed in 2009 for the MVP and first team all pro tean, over Peyton Manning.
Sure, Brees had one more total turnovers than Manning (17 to 16). But Brees led the league with TDs and completion perecentage, as well as only being 112 yards short of leading the league in passing. Brees was the true MVP in 2009.

Ah yes, the using of stats to rank MVPs when 2000's numbers were good for there time. Yes they'd be average numbers these days, but passing was a lot harder then.

Cam Newton won the season MVP award, but it was a shame that he didn't win the Super Bowl.
Still, he was the best NFL player in Panthers history.
Tough to argue against Cam but I would still have to go with Steve Smith. Was more consistent year in and year out, did it for longer, and also had a Super Bowl appearance.

Manning's 2004 season as the best passer ever at the time...throwing a touchdown less than every 10 passes is 17th...WHAT A JOKE!!!! Its probably the best or 2nd best QBR season ever. They didnt start the stat until 2006 or 7 but his total QBR was probably better than his 2013 season. Its easily top 5 bc its a top 3 QB performance EVER!!!

Brady had a better passer rating, better int to TD ratio, less ints, about 100 less pass attempts and best actual good teams in 2007 while Peyton was stat padding against trash teams all year.
Instead of just reading out statistics, this video would have been much more interesting if you’d analysed the impact each player had on their teams performance, which is why they were nominated in the first place
LaDainian Tomlinson at 5 that's a fair spot but I rather put him a bit higher cause it was one of the best if not the greatest year of all time in 2006 he had a record breaking year 31 touchdowns in one season don't forget he had 28 rushing TD's on the ground 14-2 2006 but unfortunately he'd didn't go far into the playoffs after a painful defeat vs Patriots it's not his fault at all 10:06

People forget that Adrian Peterson’s 2012 MVP season was only one year removed from a devastating ACL/MCL injury that occurred late in the season. That should’ve been mentioned at the very least.

Worst should have been Lamars this year. He wasn't top 10 in anything. Except turnover percentage, he had lots of turnovers compared to the mediocre amount of TDs he had.

I agree that Manning’s 2008 season wasn’t his best, but he was still 3rd in the league in TD passes.
His 27 TD passes, are only 2 behind 2023 Lamar Total TD amount of 29.

This is full of really bad recency bias and judging players against todays standards (there are been rule changes since the early 2000’s making offense easier, so stats don’t directly compare), this ranking should be more comparing how much better the MVP was compared to the league standard for the position that year (I think based on that the 2 best MVPs are 2004 Manning and 2007 Brady), but instead we have straight up stat comparisons without adjusting for how rule changes have made playing QB easier over the years, so QB stats keep inflating.
