Looking back at the episode, I actually like it. It shows that Gordon really cares about Henry, as if he was his brother. The only thing that makes this bad, is the fact Henry still needs special coal. But besides that, I enjoyed this. Nice remake, too. I really do love the expressions on each character.
Henry doesn't NEED special coal, he had an ACCIDENT. This episode would be so much better if Gordon had said that. This episode would be pointless then.
Thinking about it, if Henry doesn't need special coal anymore, why didn't the writers just make a different engine need special coal? After all, countless times we've seen the engines fill up with coal, it's never been said what coal they're filling up with.I was thinking maybe the new engine to need special coal could be Emily, seeing as we've already had a male engine needing special coal, it would be nice for a female engine to need it too. Girls are as good as boys as those may say!
In Henry's old shape he uses Welsh coal instead of ordinary coal Ordinary coal doesn't build enough steam after Henry came back from crewe he doesn't need Welsh coal In the night before Henry was ready to take the flying kipper the yellow signal appeared ahead the goods train waited on the siding to let the flying kipper pass Henry smashed into the break van
I still can't believe the studio completely forgot Henry stopped using Welsh coal since he returned from Crewe that makes this episode bad honestly if I worked for the original film company and Mattel I would watch every episode to determine whether they're good or not and I would correct all the obvious mistakes that viewers are likely to notice
HydesR01 do you expect them to take one coat at a time and then put it in different tenders. They had to swap tenders to make it quicker. That would’ve took forever switching coal.
He's not meant to! That was the whole point of him being rebuilt into his new shape after the flying kipper accident, this episode would have been better if they had had a different engine need special coal like James or better still Emily to give a female a more prominent role.
