Hello everyone, welcome to my 3D gold fish resin channel. In this video, I am going to use epoxy resin with two components: A - epoxy resin and B - hardener. I will mix these two components together with a ratio of 3:1 (3 epoxy resin : 1 hardener). You can also purchase resin on amazon from Artresin. Its quality is relatively good but the ration would be 1:1. Mine is 3:1.
Regarding colours, I recommend acrylic colour from Pebeo. The bowl for the resin is a Japanese ceramic bowl and I think you should use the pointed round brush because it is suitable for the 3D resin fish. Other than that, I will also use the dry slow compound from Linquitex to make the acrylic dry a bit slower.
With this kind of picture, I will apply the layer by layer style. Each layer will be drawn meticulously to avoid the breaking of the layers. Each layer will be from 1.5mm to 2mm thick and the time required for them to dry out would be around 8-10 hours. I will have to wait for the epoxy resin to dry out to apply the other layer. Therefore, it would take from 7 to 10 days to complete the picture. Each of these 3D resin would be split into two videos. The first one would be done on Uxcel 2mm clear perspex acrylic, which aim to help you to be familiar with the layer-by-layer drawing style. The second video would be done using resin material. I have just getting used to this kind of picture in the last month but I promise to share everything I know about this kind of art for all beginners. Do we must to wait the 6 to 10 hours for the resin yo dry,, or is there any other way to make the resing dry faster?

Even though some people may be against the artist showing him/herself “messing up” I think that it is really inspiring to know that even great artists can make a mistake sometimes
No artist makes " mistakes " they have a slight changes of mind LOL....one feels better that way ..
@@yvonneost12 Sounds very kind but I am a Dutch master and I sometimes screw up so much I redo the canvas. Sometimes it happens that what is perfect in your mind cannot be transferred through fingers onto canvas.

@@AvisTheDoom Yes, darling, when one is a house wife making a Bob Ross style painting, but I make mistakes as a Dutch master and throw out stuff. No happy mistakes in my paintshop. Actually, we dont throw out stuff, we paint over our mistakes. Canvasses are expensive.

I think these pieces of art work are beautiful. Have you ever used a clear vessel so as to look from different directions, other than straight down. Would that actually work? Keep stunning us with your art.
oldponytail i think for that to work there would have to be many more thin layers... because as it is, if you look at it from the side, it’ll likely be 3-4 white/orange stripes of an unrecognizable shape.

I think if a clear container is use to see the other side it would look like a flat fish, to make it look real from both side it would have to to be paint the bottom of the fish then after those layers of the bottom the fish would have to be painted on the other side 😫 I feel like i don’t make sense

Beautiful!! Especially love the lily pads and flower. I haven't tried but I doubt I could paint like this. Hand painting has so much more warmth and depth to it than the stickers I've seen other people use. Maybe that warmth and depth comes from the care and artistry that goes into it in comparison to those that just slap a sticker down and call it a day.
