- In this episode of TFBTV, James Reeves is visiting the Benelli booth at EOS or the European Outdoor Show to speak with Benelli engineers about the new Benelli 828 U featuring the BE.S.T. ("Benelli Surface Treatment") finish, a remarkable new coating that is rust proof and guaranteed for 25 years.
According to Benelli's marketing materials relative to the 828U:
"‘828’ is the code that identifies Urbino, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The 828 U over & under firearm combines the experience of the past with the new technological era. The sleek lines of the dark-coloured receiver exude elegance and emphasize the sportiness of the shotgun in a perfect harmony of shapes and materials. The wood incorporates the Progressive Comfort system, the butt plate and the special polyurethane comb are the ideal combination to reduce perceived recoil and muzzle rise. 828 U is the epitome of lightweight and comfort, stability and adaptability. A shotgun with fast, yet extremely stable swinging, capable of adapting perfectly to the shape and shooting stance of the hunter. The only over & under shotgun that provides for fine-tuning of drop and deviation (Perfect fitting). The heart of the Benelli over & under shotgun is the Lock Plate locking system made from hardened steel. A simple and ingenious device that ensures strong and reliable locking and cancels mechanical stress. the aluminum receiver makes for a lightweight over & under (at less than 3 kg), yet extremely resistant and perfectly balanced. Another important element is the 828 U's compact, removable, precise, practical, reliable cocking assembly with short percussion times. 828 U delivers optimal performance and comfort tailored to your needs."
I know y'all've heard this before, but it's so nice to hear y'all talking to designers as opposed to salesmen. Having the designer of a system explain what it is should be the norm in the US as it seems to be in Europe
These guys are just so excited to show off their work. Im sure they know who James is, so theyre probably extra jazzed about it
That is a gorgeous shotgun, really great to have experts display the firearms with the obvious pride they feel in the products they helped develop
Absolutely loving the EOS and IWA coverage! EOS in particular is making me think TFB needs a full time employee with a thick Italian accent...
I love that the designers are the ones out there talking about their designs and showing off their outstanding engineering skills. They are definitely the right people to interview. Great work James!
1:24 to 1:27... Your finger gesture is... Perfezione!
That cracked me up!
Beautiful! And with a 25 yr coating guarantee! Nice!
Love the techno-futuristic design of Italian firearms.
And they sound even fancier when you say: Lovea the techo-futuristica designa ofa Italiana firearmsa.
I love the way the Benelli OU looks. Thanks James. Wonderful interviews.
@ 1:43 The Best. Whatta the best is? The besta is Benelli surface treament that is covered by secret.
The Besta is No Rust & Total Black Color. Pimpin' in all black!
I love how James showed the rail
I think this is a case of actual innovation in the firearms industry not just the coating but the locking mechanism and use of carbon fibre.
A great neat video juast as Beretta Pico or Bobcat. Great explanations about the rifle too. Do they have one spare gun they do not need I ask for myself.
Not really my jam personally but that is a damn gorgeous firearm. The engineer with the passion of showing off his firearm is great. Wish we could see that at shot more and not just salesman pitches.
That looks beautiful!
Finally, a coating that might stand a chance against your brackish Louisiana water. I doubt James would ever buy an over/under shotgun, but maybe if they put it on Beretta 1301s...
I adore overunders..
Time to throw it into salt lake for the summer and see how it comes out
I lova.. hearinga.. these people speaka!
If only more shotguns had this quality of craftsmanship. This is why I prefer older ones, you have to pay out the ass for a newly made over under that is worth a damn.
You have always had to pay for a quality o/u!
Beautiful shotgun. Want.
not a big over under shotgun dude but that wood and finish on the metal is just beautiful
Damn, that’s a cool OU.
hell yea Benelli!
Perfezione!
Beautiful gun, but the open gap between the barrels just looks odd to me.
I want one !!
What actually is the beeeesta finish? Almost looks like PVD or something along those lines.
I wonder if they are still having problems with the forends being to thin and cracking
It is absolutely gorgeous...but I heard the french use Benelli's sooo yeah
I was just trying to see if that was a gold M4 in the background.
What Reference number is this ? they come in a lot of configurations is this 26”?
So how much did he say it cost?
Beautiful shotty
B.E.E.E.E.S.T.A!!!
best-uh and the gun-uh
I wanta
I think they fixed everything wrong with the 828u SPORT so actually that’s the weapon you want😉
Looks like it's a nitride "finish".
A CULTURED MAN'S (wealthy man's) BIRD GUN
How tf is tactical John Stockton not laughing? That accent is so extra.
Itsa meeeee MARIO!!!!!
👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸☕️☕️💯
They lost me at 'Progressive'- I shun everything progressive, comfort or otherwise
/s but seriously, that gun is beatiful
Agreed. I also turn right 3 times to make a left; but that's just me...
Anybody catch those white pants at 1:19ish
What?
No thanks, my Turkish shotgun cost $38.00 and Snickers bar and 4 times as good. 😁😁
Where is the Clickbait?

I understand that Benelli is trying to save weight, but the gap between the barrels of an over/under is like a pretty girl with a big gap between her teeth. It just isn't right.
It's weird to see the company owners and principal engineers at a gun show talking about their products.
I'm so used to seeing coked-out HkUSA salesmen fresh off a Vegas strip-club-crawl slurring their words to James as they pimp out the newest overpriced trash.
It would have been better if cue ball had been speaking Italian. At least I could have understood what he was saying if he did. As it stands I couldn't understand anything he said in English.
Is this dude speaking English?
Overall I like the looks of this shotgun but the gap between the barrels is bad. It's like a pretty girl with a gap in her front teeth.
The fuck he say?
