Things I need to fix: the sound. Thanks for persevering. Things you don’t need to correct me on: pronunciation. I enjoy mispronouncing it on purpose- but realise now I didn’t use the proper pronunciation once when making this 😬
BTW a book that will change your artistic capabilities is “Drawing on the right side of the brain” by Betty Edwards. It will radically change your skills. Worth every penny. You can go and look at the reviews. Do the exercises in the book dilligently.
Don’t have an example. I’m not great with an overhand grip so I’m no authority, however I’d say it’s profile doesn’t lend itself to it. I’d reach for a traditional pencil for that work. It’s particular dimensions working against it for overhand

Have you tried the Koh-I-Noor 5340? or the more comfortable than them all the Koh-I-Noor 5347? the 5340 is the same as the Kaweco Sketch up, just longer to a more common pencil length than the Kaweco is. I ask because I want to know if the shorter has any advantage in terms of performance and comfort.
The width and length of the barrel offers great control on my opinion- but that is only an opinion- you’d need to try it yourself to see what you think as every hand is different. I wouldn’t want a brass wide-bodied pencil any longer than the sketch up cos the thing really has some heft and I think it would feel unbalanced and even cumbersome we’re it longer. The sketch-up form factor is a selling point for me. I really like koh-i-noor stuff but I think the workmanship on the kaweco things I have outstrips that of koh-I-noor.
@@LOCKEYJ Of course the quality is higher on the Kaweco, however it's exactly the same design built and thickness. Their only real differences is the length and the outer material, which is brass on the Kaweco and aluminum on the Kohinoor. The mechanism is almost the same, both in materials and fit and finish. I asked your opinion, to see It I upgrade to the Kaweco or not! It's a bit expensive for me. Thanks for all the feedback, I really appreciate it!!
@@greekveteran2715 yeah aluminium- being lighter might work at the longer barrel length. But in my experience with this and the lighter kaweco sport, I think this length is really nice and ergonomic
@@LOCKEYJ Thanks for the feedback, I really appreciate it!! I just found Kaweco makes more models, of all the lead sizes, so as soon as I decide which, I'm getting one! Thanks again!

Thanks!
the rocket flying at the end lol :))))))))
Hello Jim where did you get that nice crab pencil holder ?😊
I don’t remember I’m afraid, I’m sure a web search would bring it up
Have you tried using it with an overhand grip ? I want to see how well it compares to charcoal.
